I dislike all the phishing and blogging most people are doing but, I decided that I would go down to the level of the like of Rosie O'Donnell to give some direction in how we, the public, should deal with the likes of Rosie. We have a lot of talented people throughout the world who do not need to be outlandish on the radio or television. For those who are not talented, Rosie O%u2019Donnell and Paris Hilton, need to make noise and controversy so they can be seen and stay in the public%u2019s eye. If we, the public, give them no mention or attention then their like would go to the wayside. Yes it was very ignorant of Rosie to make derogatory comments directed at our soldiers. It is even more disgraceful for her to infer that our soldiers are terrorists. If Rosie does not like what this country stands for there are plenty of countries for her to relocate to and spout off with her mouth and end up in prison or executed. I have, as well as many other Americans, have served honorably in the Armed Forces so she can be as ignorant and ate-up as she wants to be. A word to all who fall into Rosie%u2019s mold, if you have not served in the Armed Forces or defended our country then hold your tongue!

Is Vivi a political prop, now? Why is Rosie exploiting a small child like this? Couldn't she make her point some other way?

To tell the truth, I was so disgusted with Rosie dressing her sweet little daughter up like a baby Che, that I didn't care what Rosie's "real" message was.

I really don%u2019t care WHY we invaded Iraq. The fact is, we did. And, we got Saddam. And, we%u2019re teaching the Iraqi people how to adjust to such a HUGE change in their way-of-life. Should we have just up & left after we found Saddam in his hole? I don%u2019t think so. And, everyone is so quick to criticize ONLY the US-What about the 22 other countries that CURRENTLY have troops there? 22 individual countries can%u2019t ALL be wrong. They%u2019re not there just because they want to follow us. They%u2019re there because it%u2019s the RIGHT thing to do. But, most ignorant people put on blinders and only try to find the fault in the US%u2019s policies because they hate Bush. OPEN YOUR EYES! This is NOT just Bush%u2019s war!

Thankfully though, Bush is handling it well. I didn%u2019t vote for Bush in 2000. But I am immensely grateful that Bush was president during 9/11. Because I saw how angry he was and I saw that he would do anything in his power to make sure that there is NOT another 9/11 on his watch. I definitely did vote for him the 2nd time around. I dread what%u2019s going to happen to this country when he%u2019s no longer in office-we will be back to pre-9/11 mindset and will be setting ourselves up for disaster. I agree with you, YACONESSA, the people quick to criticize Bush wouldn%u2019t want his job! He actually works hard for a living!

GOD BLESS AMERICA! SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! NEVER FORGET 9/11!

I don%u2019t really know how Bush or Clinton became the topic of discussion, but since it is%u2026

I am not Pro-Bush or Pro-Clinton and I don't think that this is at all about either of them. Clinton had his chance to get Osama, but he decided that Osama wasn't really a risk. I guess that's because the 1st WTC attack was a 'failure' in his eyes. Maybe if the 1st attack had actually taken down the building, then Clinton would have done the right thing & ended this all when he had the chance. Or, maybe he only cared about his personal issues at the time - Monica took all eyes away from Osama. Osama has even stated that our so-called 'President' Clinton was the best thing that ever happened to him and to America because it showed 'his people' that what he taught them about our country was correct - All we cared about was ***! Clinton was an embarrassment to our country. And, I%u2019m sure Mrs. Clinton won%u2019t be any better.

It%u2019s unlikely that you or your 5 children have to fight a war on 'your turf'-since that 'war' is already being prevented by us being on 'their' turf. I suppose you feel that we should have done nothing after Pearl Harbor was attacked, too? You%u2019re saying that we should have just sat around waiting for Japan & Germany to actually OCCUPY the US instead of 'just bombing' us, right? You%u2019re saying our men back then were 'cowardly' to go overseas to defend their country! You tried to raise a good point, but if you opened a history book you'd see that we are following in our forefathers footsteps.

Hitler & Saddam killed many, many people. They are both evil men that needed to be taken care of. Iraq is now liberated and is no longer under Saddam%u2019s rule. My cousin recently came back from Iraq. While there, the only thing he asked for from home was candy & soccer balls for the Iraqi children. He hoped that when these kids grew up and were recruited into Al Qaeda, maybe they%u2019ll think twice. They might remember the nice American soldiers that fed them and played with them. They%u2019ll remember how bad life was under Saddam%u2019s rule, and then see how much the so-called %u2018bad%u2019 Americans sacrificed so that they wouldn%u2019t have to grow up in fear like their parents did. When Saddam was in power, they %u2018loved%u2019 him, but as soon as he was caught, they cheered, because they were finally allowed to express their REAL feelings without fear of persecution.

"there are a lot of comments like this but she POSTED THEM ON A PUBLIC SITE!!" posted by MyOpinion1

I don't give a rats a-s-s whether she posted them on a public site, people can give their opinions without being viscious.

For instance I can say: GunOwnerDan, you are a F%$%ing #$%$#.... or I can say: GunOwnerDan, you are an idiot and totally disagree with your views.:)

Now the visciousness is what is going to damage that child. When people start acting that way it spreads and there is no way she will escape it.
When she grows up damaged I doubt that it will be because of Rosie, it will be because of all you hateful people.

I used to love watching Rosie when she first had her talk show in the beginning. She was so down to earth and felt like a person you would like to know and hang out with. When they took her show off the air in our city I felt bad and then I heard how she got and how much she brought in about the gay/lesbian thing then I was glad I didn't have her in our area. Ellen may be gay but she is a joy to watch and keeps her job very professional. Rosie should take a lesson from her. Also maybe many don't like what is going on in our country but would you really want Bush's job? Could any of you do better or are you all just arm chair quarterbacks thinking you have the right answer. At least we don't live in a country where the government takes what we have and watches what we say and do. We have freedom unlike so many others Presidents are really figureheads doing what our Congress wants. There are no honest polititians whether you are Republican or Democrat. They are all in it for the fame and money and if people only knew the real perks these people have you would be sick. So let Rosie say what she wants, she doesn't know anything anymore than we do. And we are lucky we can print our feelings because many people would be killed if they wrote what some people write. Be glad we live here, have our jobs and rights and get on with our lives and pray for those who are defending it and for those who make the decisions to keep us safe.

Toldyouso21 you%u2019re full of contradictions of contradictions, so wrapped up in someone else's life, that's a long-stretch from reality, especially when you certainly have not been at a lost of words commenting on others, particularly if their views are skewed towards the left.

Conservative individuals such as yoooourself are always on the opposite ends of the pole, when it comes to "critical observation", correct you allow your "delusional grandiose thinking" to cloud your "logical reasoning", and it%u2019s because of people like you why we are in this illegal war.

This is an illegal war, Rosie isn't incorrect, and this is a war in support of American corporations gaining a monopoly over the "market", in which this has absolutely nothing to do with "democracy".

And I'm surprised being a right-winger that you actually admitted the war is illegal...

And let's talk about terrorism, when "heads of state" [The United States, i.e., Eisenhower, Kennedy, Reagan, Bush Sr.] order the assassination of political officials, presidents, etc. in other countries, Cuba, Congo, etc., first clean-up the political "dirty laundry" here then talk about Iraq, Iran, etc.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower ordered the CIA assassination of Lumumba of the Congo, because he sought to liberate the Congolese from Belgium, the United States, and European hegemony, and redistribute wealth among the Congolese people, which would have been the right thing to do, considering, they had been under the tyrannical governance of Leopold II.

Leopold II barbarically ordered the genocide of more than 10 million Congolese, during his reign of terror he forced millions into neo-slavery, brutally maiming them for failing to deliver their quota of rubber, and this government fully supported him.

Then when Congo gained its independence in 1960, the American government ensured the United States would have control over the "resources and trade" ordered the assassination of Lumumba, who had been elected through the democratic process.

I'm tired of belligerent white folks screaming about terrorism, when this country has been/continues to be responsible for terrorism abroad.

The statement about Rosie calling the troops "terrorist" wasn't meant for you.

The comment meant for you was at the very beginning, and yes you are in a "delusion of grandeur" as with the rest of you self-righteous narrow-minded posters, whom fail to "comprehend" or confuse what's being stated with your own bias perception.

To this day I don't know what this war has accomplished? We are still not safe, Bin Ladden is still runnin free. Our gas prices are soaring and this President has screwed our economy so badly until now only an act of GOD can put it back together. We have all of this and deal with and we as americans wonder what will happen next?
Rosie and Paris Hilton continue to fascinate the world and I really don't understand that one either but this is America land of the free, Home of the brave!!! Those parents that lost your children in this war please know that GOD is gonna judge this war too!

"Delusion of grandeur", is someone that is so mesmerized with him/herself until his/her thoughts, perceptions, and visualizations of his/her surroundings/environment are clouded by his/her grandiose ideological beliefs, which are often jaded and unrealistic.

Like someone who reads comments others have made and taking the meaning literally out of context and re-interpreting it based on his/her delusional thoughts, perceptions, and visualizations, of which yes indeed this individual is "full of him/herself".

This applies to those posters that relentlessly attack Rosie based on their myopic[nearsidedness] and grandiose ideology["rightness"], on every word or statement she makes without fully examining its content, in order to make a non-judgmental, unbiased, and non-grandiose argument.

And the entire vicious "lesbian" attacks, not by you, I hope, but by others validates my argument of "delusional grandiose thinking".

Viciously attacking someone based on race, se@ual orientation, religion, etc., because you don't agree with their stance on political issues only proves "the grandiose feeling of rightness".

The fact is, the war was based on lies, is illegal and morally wrong. We attacked people who had done nothing to us then turned around and declared ourselves their heros. That takes a HUGE amount of hypocrisy.

George Bush must think the war is illegal too. Despite the remarks to his base....Bush had Congress grant him immunity from WAr crimes commited retroactively from the time of the invasion to present. He and all who participate cannot domestically be charged with war crimes. (unless the law is revoked) he did this in 2006.

Also, Bush had himself granted immunity from FISA--you know the law he broke but claimed he didn't. People do not have immunity for good things, they ususally do it when they know they did something bad.

In 2005, Bush had our names removed as signatories of the Geneva Convention and refused to join the World Court. This violated the 11th amendment (article 9, I believe) of our own constitution. He had to do this, or be guilty of war crimes internationally for torture, detainment and possibly even starting the war without provocation from a sovereign nation. International laws cannot be dismissed or granted immunity by the SCOTUS or our Congress. This is in our constitution. WE have to obey international treaties, pacts/laws that we sign. So you can see why Bush had to have our names taken off after over 60 years of it being on the document.

I can't speak to Rosie's statements because I only watched the view once, when Starr was still there. But I do know that most Americans now feel the war was a mistake and morally wrong. As to our fighting our war in Iraq, so we don't have to fight it here.... There is nothing more cowardly than advocating anyone anywhere fight, so we don't have to assume our own battles on our own soil. Sort of like a person picking up a baby to fend off bullets from a shooter. People with honor, fight their own battles and fight it on their own turf--they don't do proxy--because they do not need to spread their suffering around.

I have 5 children. Though I would hate to see them harmed or my city/country destroyed--if my "freedom" really means something to me, as well as my honor--then I OWE it to want my battles to be HERE, and for myself to fight. That is honor. Not killing people in another country and shrugging it off or talking about 9/11 when we already know the people we are killing were never involved and the ones who were are our buddies and soon to be home of Halliburton.

The whole REASON I am 'safe in my home' and 'behind a monitor' is BECAUSE of the war. It's BECAUSE of our wonderful troops that are fighting for our FREEDOM and are making sure that 9/11 doesn't happen again -Eitakj at 12:09 PM : Jun 27, 2007

Have to disagree with this and point out the obvious. After the first WTC bombing which occured less than a month into Clinton's first term...Clinton did not Blame George Bush Sr and there was not another attack until 9/1/01. So we might want to lay off the crowing. Since Clinton gave us 10 terror free yrs..... Terrorists attacks are made to undermine a government and to promote instability and mistrust in a target group. There is no reason to have another attack since this one is still working so well for the terrorists. I mean, we are now advocating torture, concentration camps and invading countries and "killing/liberating" people without their consent. The fact is, the war was based on lies, is illegal and morally wrong. We attacked people who had done nothing to us then turned around and declared ourselves their heros. That takes a HUGE amount of hypocrisy.

Cheeky Gal, I realize that you are trying to sound as if you are AGAINST the war with your 'cheeky' comments, but you keep contradicting yourself. You say, 'Get out of the U.S. and live elsewhere in a dictatorship' - But the whole reason I am siding WITH our country and am supporting our troops is so that America doesn't turn into a dictatorship. YOU must want to live in a dictatorship under Osama's rule.

I, for one, will NEVER forget the atrocities that happened on 9/11/01. I will always SUPPORT our troops - 100% - they're risking their lives to make sure that we will always have our FREEDOM! They are making sure that my son, who is only 2, will never have to live through a 9/11 like I did.

THANK YOU TO ALL SERVICEMEN IN THE ARMED FORCES - PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE! *****GOD BLESS AMERICA!***** DON'T LET THE TERRORISTS WIN!

No, Cheeky Gal, this war means a LOT to me. The whole REASON I am 'safe in my home' and 'behind a monitor' is BECAUSE of the war. It's BECAUSE of our wonderful troops that are fighting for our FREEDOM and are making sure that 9/11 doesn't happen again - not on their watch. Thank you for pointing that out to us. Maybe you're not so "Cheeky" after all.

"Not one single person can or ever has said the Iraqis or Saddam had anything to do with 9/11."

Except of course the dictator-in-chief and his criminal war-mongering co-horts!!!!!!! Their lies have led Americans and America on a path from which we may never recover.

Cowards kill!!!

What a bunch of sicko flockers that post on these boards. Cowardly *** most who sit behind a monitor spouting hate for those who oppose an illegal war and the deaths of thousands innocents means nothing to them as long as they are safe in their homes and far from the battle.

It is people like you cowards who should go and live in a dictatorship of your choice since you so love the dictator-in-chief sitting in the highest office of the U.S. Not one single person can or ever has said the Iraqis or Saddam had anything to do with 9/11. You people are so blinded and when the roll is called up yonder you certainly will not be included. SICKOS abound in the U.S.

Rosie NEVER called the soldiers terrorist, but the terrorist-in-chief and his jihadists Cheney, Rummy, Condi, Wolfowitz, Rove and Bremmer are just that! If there is a God he will smite these people and those who follow them like blinded sheep.

Sad day for America that you cowards would allow this. Get out of the U.S. and live elsewhere in a dictatorship.
