For everyone who comments about the newsworthiness of this item...what do you expect on the 'Showbuzz' portion of the website? Geesh, lighten up...

I find it interesting the people who are up in arms by how much 'taxpayers' paid to keep her incarcerated. Did anyone stop to think that her quarterly taxes probably pay at least 10 police officers' salaries?

At first I didn't care about whatever did or would Paris Hilton. Now, I tend to agree with those who feel she got a more severe sentence than other non-famous people received in the same sort of circumstance. I think Paris should have spent a couple days in jail, and then been put on manual work release for a week. She could have cleaned up a highway, or worked in a soup kitchen or homeless shelter. Her rich family could supply her with bodyguards--to curtail the media--BUT she would have to WORK!!!!

Everyone is talking about this girl. If she gets this much media attention at her age ,what will it be like 40 years from now? Do you think Paris Hilton suffers from anxiety? I am sure she does because anxiety does not select just everyday people but as we have read and seen, anxiety even comes to visit rich celebrities.

As we know from our own experiences, anxiety is like disease, it goes where the conditions are right inorder for it to survive.

Her feelings of anxiety are every bit as real as the rest of us.

You may not like her for whatever reason but I believe we never really know anyone to the extent that they know themselves. It is not up to us to assume we know anything real about her, as the media has done such a job of bringing her daily life into our homes with a scandalous twist to every detail.

Just as Paris Hilton has her issues ,so do we ,only our lives are not plastered in every possible media source around the world. It is a sad state of affairs when the majority of anxiety sufferers and the rest of the mental health community can not get equal time for its cause.

The media is talking about her doing some good works out in the world in order for her to regain public popularity. My suggestion would be, if I could speak to Paris and give her some advice as to what she could do with her life and some of her money, would be to invest in helping the anxiety community and in so doing she would be really doing some honest good.

It's interesting that her parents didn't get more involved in her life until she was in jail. Isn't that typical? Like all wayward children, maybe she would have benefited from more parental involvement in her life. So even the rich and famous need to pay attention to the basic principles of good family life. Money really doesn't make you better than other people or buy happiness, notwithstanding arrogance and humor.

Why do you all keep referring to Paris Hilton as the hotel heiress
She is not , the Hilton Group is no longer owned by the Hilton family
When Conrad Hilton died in 1979 he intentionally did not leave anything to member of his family believing that as he started from scratch so should they.
The only thing they have in common with the hotel is the name
In November 2000, Hilton Group plc and Hilton Hotels Corporation formed a joint venture company to expand the Conrad brand of luxury hotels on a worldwide basis. With the acquisition of Hilton International by Hilton Hotels Corporation in March 2006, The brand is headquartered in Hilton International%u2019s corporate offices in the UK. In 2004 Stephen F. Bollenbach named Co-Chairman and CEO of Hilton Hotels Corporation. Matthew J. Hart is named President and COO.2005 Ian Carter is named Chief Executive of Hilton International. Note no Hilton Names In 2006Hilton Hotels Corporation acquires the lodging assets of Hilton Group PLC for #5.7 billion reuniting the brand%u2019s international and North American operations, and making Hilton one of the largest hotel companies in the world.

In the picture at the top of this article she looks like a normal person, not the high faluting brat she usually looks like. Maybe if her time in jail didn't really do anything for her it might have served a purpose in letting "important" people see they might not get away with everything because of who they are. The authorities need to keep this practice up.

I have to wonder why Paris Hilton is your number one story on the Early Show this Tuesday morning...why does it matter when she got out of jail? Do people in this country have so little going on in their lives that someone getting out of jail for violating her probation (which I'm sure was done, because she figures she can do whatever she wants!!!) is a newsworthy item...
I wonder how the mother of Jessie Davis feels knowing her dead daughter and grandchild take second stage to someone who has never done anything important in her life...this is getting a little ridiculous!!!

She's going to start a home for newly released inmates? Give me a freaking break!!! In two days she back on the party trail and within 6 months she's back driving drunk. Special treatment from the beginning to the end. Do a whole lot of LA prisoners get released at midnight? What a farce!

Since Paris hasn't been out of touch with the press while serving her term, we can be sure that she was the one who notified everyone to be at the jail at 12:15am.

I'll bet she sent home and started drinking (Gray Goose Vodka) and hasn't quit yet. By the way, she isn't through. She is still on probation until next year sometime.

Let's see, a beautiful young woman, 9 months pregnant is murdered and her two-year-old son will never see his mother again--compare that to the 45-day sentence given Ms Hilton, who, incidentally deserved that sentence. She should have been allowed to serve out her time in relative obscurity. But our public-right-to-know journalists would rather discuss this tordid trash than pay tribute to a young woman's life who was dedicated in raising her son and who died needlessly.
Methinks it's all about ratings, selling newspapers, and making money. The real journalists and newsmen disappeared long ago.
I am sorry to see them go.

"Is the Heiress Ready for Life 'On the Outside'"?

Outside of what, the VD clinic? That beach pic of her scratching her goodies in plain view must be one she hangs on her bedroom wall as a testament to how much better she is to everyone else... Wait, check that, I think the bedroom might incur an inadvertent double meaning. The living room is more apropos...

Sorry to be so tasteless, there's no much else to be said about this person. Her actions were a danger and an embarrassment. Violating parole = NO. Scratching her privates in broad daylight for all to take pictures of = NO! Drunk driving = NO NO NO!!! Persuading a sheriff to end-run a judge to do her time in home comfort because she's afraid of people taking photos of her in a jail cell? NO NO NO NO NO!!!

Give me a break. How can a jail cell pose be even remotely worse than that scratch'n'sniff beach pose?!! Maybe she'll pretend she stole a bottle of RID Shampoo rather than saying she drove while drunk. Yeah, that'll work...
