Heiress Says She Is "Learning And Growing" From Her Time Behind Bars
- Paris Hilton should pay for her crime just as any citizen would. The fact that she comes from a wealthy family should not keep her from jail. We have two missing soldiers in Iraq and men and women who are fighting, dying and being maimed for the rest of their lives so that we can live in this country in freedom. Paris has not done one thing of notable mention to contribute to society. She is no better than anyone else. If there is a need to release prisoners, start with those who have already served time. This is so silly and the post by My Gramma causes me to wonder about her mental state. No one hates Paris because they are mean, we are tired of the wasted time on this girl who can't even put on her panties before going out in public. I've forgotten exactly what gramma wrote but that person might want to get a medical exam also. There should never be special treatment for anyone and Paris did commit a crime that could have serious injury or death to others. She ignored court obligations and that would cause the average person to pay the price and she is no better. People are tired of the double standard that is inflicted on them and we have no recourse. Let the Hiltons use their money to do some good for the world.

- The nasty, vindictive, hateful people who have been posting vicious comments about Paris, the person, are most likely low life, have-nothing, will never have anything, Cretans who hate anyone who has some status or wealth. We saw the same merciless trashing of Britney, by these same Cretans, when Britney was going through terrible times of her own. And Britney earned every dime she has.
Paris paid her debt to society for minor infractions, as the sheriff said. He also pointed out that most ordinary people are out of that facility in hours or a couple of days, primarily because the overcrowding. But the re-sentencing by this capricious judge goes far beyond any standard of reasonable and appropriate, but in particular, equity. He was after the sheriff, but Paris is the victim.
Law enforcement and the judicial systems of Los Angeles have done themselves major harm with this one. It looks to me like Paris is going to come out of this severely damaged. I hope to God not, but if so, the Hiltons will own a large chunk of Los Angeles. Let's start with Burbank, maybe Belle Aire? - Reply to this comment
- Paris Hilton is nothing more then a spoiled rich (unmentionable name). Her parents are at fault for that. She has done nothing to deserve the attention that she is getting. She has no talent other then making headlines for all her partying. She broke the law, driving while intoxicated. She should be *** lucky that no one was KILLED due to her actions, but I'm sure her parents would get her out of that also. She was told not to drive without her license, but i'm sure that just fell on deaf ears since she violated her probation. She needs to deal with the consiquences of her actions. Folks who get arrested for her violation do not get the treatment that she THINKS she deserves. Just do your time and stop acting like a spoiled brat baby

Nah, that's something my husband does, not me. - Reply to this comment
- I think there is no shortage of people here who would like to apply a hand to Paris' bottom.

You're not kidding there. Earlier I said that her biggest problem is probably having to do her "business" in a toilet that is in a room open for whoever to see. - Reply to this comment
- It is amazing how immature Paris Hilton is. I have two daughters, one 25 and the other 27 and there is a world of difference between them and Paris.

- Hey, I just thought of something. Maybe we should send Paris to Saudi Arabia. I bet she would clean up her act FAST. They would not put up with any of her antics that she performs here. Then, of course, she would have to wear that black covering with only her eyes showing. It might teach her some humility.

- This is her reality check. See how the other half, the lower other half has to live. why feel sorry for her. We all have to work for a living, she parties all the time. she has no values and has no idea what life is really about. It is time for her to learn from jail what her parents never taught her.

- If Paris had been my child, thank goodness she wasn't, I would have applied a hand to the bottom when necessary instead of letting her get by with anything. A pop on the bottom is not child abuse but you, as the adult, is letting the child know who is boss and also getting their attention that whatever action they had done is not acceptable in society.
I see a lot of children who need a hand because of misbehaving in public, ie, stores and restaurants, etc. Time out just does not work for some children who are very head strong. - Reply to this comment
- "As I watched CNN, some commentators said " Everybody hates Hilton ( taht's why everybody wants Hilton in Jail.) but I don't think so. This commentator also said " Everybody hates Rich." I don't think so too.
This guy and another some, basically made mistake to think and mention. " Paris drank with driving and trheatened others on the public road." The reason why American people want her in Jail. Those commentators are collapse.
Even they beleive they can drink with drive."

One question, vivaviva80: Are you drunk? Your post is incomprehensible. Do you really condon drunk driving? Because that is what it sounds like from your post!?
Maybe you could use some time in the drunk tank with your hero, Paris! - Reply to this comment
- Yes Paris needs to serve time. Do the crime, Do the time. And this was not a one-time thing - she is a repeat offender.
I just pray that she learns from this AND I especially pray that her parents learn that she needs discipline in her life. Something she has probably never had.
I can't see why she's so upset. It's only for what 23 days - 3 weeks + 1 day. Heck, I would read, play solitaire, take naps. Wow, to sleep, eat and no nothing & not have to think of anything else - sounds like a nice vacation to me.
Sometimes we all need to 'get away' - not that I would purposely choose jail but hey, if ya gotta go, make the best of it! - Reply to this comment
- Paris need much help. Let's pray for her that she sees the way. I actually like her despite her lunacy. She can turn out to be a great woman if she tries.

- The scary thing is there are 65 pages of posts to this story and fewer than half that on the news stories that really concern the nation as a whole.

- In a way one has to feel sorry for Paris because she has known only luxury all her life. To truly experience jail and all it's lack of privacy, has to be a real shock to her. She seriously needs to grow up, but a lot of the blame lies with her parents, who should have taught her to be a better human being. They should have taught her the importance of obeying laws and having compassion.

- After all is said and done,
Paris Hilton will still be Paris Hilton.
And you -- the envious and the resentful, the frustrated and the bitter, the ordinary and the unknown -- will still be yourselves.
Have a nice day! :) - Reply to this comment
- I MUST COMMEND THE TRIAL JUDGE FOR STICKING TO HIS GUNS AND SHOWING THAT NO ONE NO MATTER HOW RICH AND WELL CONNECTED IS ABOVE THE LAW.
I THINK THAT A 45DAY JAIL TERM IS A BIT OF AN OVER-KILL THOUGH.
THE ATTENTION THAT THIS CASE HAS GENERATED IN AMERICA AND THE WORLD IS UNCALLED FOR. AMERICANS HAVE MORE THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT. YOUR SOCIETY IS BECOMING MORE UNGODLY,VERY UNSAFE TO LIVE IN, EVEN THE SCHOOLS ARE NOT SAFE! THE COUNTRY IS LOSING HER HONOR AND RESPECT INTERNATIONALLY. GUYS WISE-UP!! - Reply to this comment
- Boy it looks like a prescription drug addiction. Thats the medicine she wouldn't bring in. Oxycotin? What a way to do cold turkey rehab. This is the best thing for her. Or else perhaps there will be another dead young Lady soon. In Hollywood.
