Sheriff's Department Says Heiress Will Be Under House Arrest For 40 Days
- neojoker- I think you are seriously on to something- 3 days without drinking is difficult for someone who does it every day. She has a problem and only in jail did it reveal itself.
previn- yes boycott hilton hotels. They obviously don't think other people are as good as they are, so we should not clutter up their hotels with our presence. - Reply to this comment

- And we wonder "WHY" people do the things they do! NO RESPECT for the LAW!
I feel for the Police....they give their Life...and the law turns the other way!
What happens when a young people thinks it's O.K. to Drink and Drive.......and someone gets killed! This is a BAD signal for the JAIL system........Money shouldn't Talk! Justice Should! - Reply to this comment

- Rich is what got her such an inflexible sentence. Check your local paper - how many kids without priors get chucked into jail for 45 days for driving with a suspended license? And because she was rich, she was in virtual isolation since putting her in the general population risked someone getting themselves in the paper by popping the head off the Hilton Barbie. Since she was in jail on a short sentence, she didn't even get to have a TV or radio in her cell. As for the 'pilates' comment, I seem to recall that getting buff was pretty much what folks did in jail. All that time, so little to do, most internees exercise. For a girl who probably never even went to the bathroom alone, 23 hours a day with no one to talk to had to be pretty miserable.
Mind, for driving without a license only five weeks after having been cited for driving without a license, a weekend in jail was due her. And the conditions resulting in early release are specious and too precious for words but, still, it isn't something unique to her. Most kids in her shoes just have to spend a few weekends picking up trash along the highway. - Reply to this comment
- My lord, its not a wonder why kids and adolestence people grow up with no respect for the law. I think its time (we) - (I) wrote a new law for congress to make it mandatory that what a judge rules is binding and laws should be the same across the country.. Paris Hilton's Parents should step up and be the PARENTS they need to be..

- Well, once again so many of you are outraged for what did you think it was going to be different. This just goes to prove that it is not what you know but who you blow.

- You teach your kids to respect the law, the Authorities and other people and then they go out into the world and learn that it's having lots of money that gets you what you want and/or out of trouble. So much for Hilton saying that she wanted to be treated "the same as everyone else"!!! No respect from me for her. This is outrageous!

- "She's using this time to reflect on her life, to see what she can do to make the world better and hopefully, in my opinion, to change the attitudes that exist about her among many people," Hutton said after visiting Hilton."
Well, that didn't take long. Maybe because she's so young she didn't have much lifetime to reflect on? Maybe she just reflected and decided "The heck with it. Let's party!" - Reply to this comment
- Dearest Jimibear
You need to get a grip. We all like to criticize Paris but wanting her to commit suicide is a little extreme, don't you think?
I am hoping that the poor little girl will see the light and turn her life around. Will it happen? no probably not, but you never know she could surprise us all. - Reply to this comment
- teeus don't try and down play a total abuse of the legal system. The bottom line is if you were dying of cancer in prison you would have trouble getting permission to see your family, but she gets to go home because the mixed vegetables in prison didn't agree with her, rediculous! The outrage is not about what she did. It's about the double standerd being flaunted right in our faces!

- This is absolutly disgusting; there truely is no law you need to obey when you are rich and powerful. Imagine the example this sets for our children; no Bobby only poor people have to go to jail and be punished, rich people get to stay in their enormous mansions and have dinner made by chefs. How sickening I am apauled this happened! Justice not only can see, she is currently taking bribes

Well, yes. Trite diversion. Time waster. Work procrastinator. I didn't say "don't read don't pay attention to." I said see it for what it is.
I am amused. I am diverted. I will save my indignation for real news. - Reply to this comment
