MICHAEL MOORE IS A GREAT AMERICAN HERO.

MICHAEL MOORE IS ONE OF THOSE FEW RARE AMERICANS THESE DAYS WITH THE BALLS AND THE STOMACH TO HANDLE ANY TRUTH ABOUT OUR COUNTRY, ESPECIALLY TRUTHS HARDEST FOR MOST AMERICAN TO ACCEPT!

MICHAEL, YOU ARE A FAT SLOB; BUT YOU ARE AN AMERICAN HERO! LOL

Cuba can have him! That's his kind of government anyway. Fidel Castro probably makes him feel warm all over. Cretin.

You right-wing attack dogs need to go back and read the article, and learn something about travel to Cuba.

Moore's only mistake was taking the ailing 9/11 rescue workers to Cuba for treatment, and not getting a license ahead of time.

My question is this: Why couldn't these workers get appropriate medical care in the U.S.?

How about one of you attack dogs addressing that question instead of attacking without cause. Oh, I forgot! Repugnicans have a "right" to make a pre-emptive strike on anything and at any time.

thgdriver,
Take a writing course, because you write like my 7 year old grandson. You don't know which word to use and where. You obviously are weak in your grammar, and make yourself look stupid to boot.

Michael Moore is a sloth just like Rosie O Donnell. Not only can they OBVIOUSLY not control what goes into their mouths, they can't control what comes out of them either. They are the quintessential epitomy of a liberal- no self control, no accountability. Look at them. They'd be poster childs for moveon.org if they could fit them on the poster.

First and foremost your advice to Moore is to keep doing what he is doing??---well that happens to be braking the law. Laws are made for us all, Moore, you, now one, is above the law.

As far as the embargo/travel laws being old or outdated or should have been done away with a long time ago as you say, the fact is they have not been done away with and the laws (I state again) are for you and Moore and the rest of us.

I hope that smug son of a bitc# gets whats coming to him!!!

"Lots of Americans go to Cuba without penalty, but the crybaby government wants to penalize the one person who stands up for those the government neglects." Posted by djberson at 09:59 AM : May 10, 2007

"Yes they do, as military personnel... I know of no other people who go unless they are given a permit from the government. Michael Moore allegedly had NO permit, thus he broke the law. Kinda like driving without a license, you can do it, but if you get caught, you get in trouble." Posted by Klingon69 at 10:47 AM : May 10, 2007

Klingon, just because you "know of no other people..." doesn't make it true.

LOL!!

Over 100,000 U.S. citizens visited Cuba last year alone, and you didn't know even one of them!! LOL!! The U.S. gov't does regulate travel to Cuba, but there are provisions in the law that make it possible for U.S. citizens to go there legally. And obviously many do go.

Feel free, Klingon, to comment on topics that you know nothing about. But be careful; you will give stupidity a bad name.

Libs cry all you want, but NO ONE is above the law. Like Paris, Billy Clinton and all the others who think they shouldn't have to pay like the rest of use do, I have absolutely no sympathy for Mikey boy. Throw the book at him!

how come people in prison, get health care, and a free higher education, while those who bay the law, have to file for bankrupsy after one illness or injury? The government, surely shows who they care more about, when it comes to having a good future! and Illigal immigrants get free health care too, just cuz they are not citizens, and its Bullsh*t law bating citizens, are nothing to them, while everyone else, gets help. What a Great country we live in! (being sarcastic)

Klingon69 said "liberals" think they are above the law. I think there may be a few right wingers who think they are above the law too. Anyone who smokes Cuban cigars thinks they are above the law. This is just BS...The Cuban embargo/travel laws should have ended years ago.

Whether you love him or hate him, you have to respect the courage of Michael Moore's convictions.
Postings for other articles have mentioned that the U.S.'s media is a propaganda machine controlled by the wealthy owners of the media monopolies. Michael Moore has his own agenda, but I think it is to burst the bubble of the wealthy and the priviledged rather than to maintain control over the masses.
He broke the law about Cuba, but he did it for his own agenda which is to improve the quality of life of the average American.

Is this country really free when you can be jailed indefinitely and labeled a terrorist if you go against Bush? I guess I can expect Big Brother to unlawfully snoop on me because of my comments.

I Like Mike. He fights for the underdog while the Bush administation and his republican cronies fight for the wealthy. A bill that would have helped the average american afford prescriptions was bashed by the Senate. Go figure.

End the war, Impeach Bush and re-install freedom that has been sacked by this administration. Mike - keep doing what your doing!!

We lefties just don't get it do we? We're fighting for freedom in Iraq so they can go anywhere and do anything but when it comes to us we can't even travel to what used to be one of the best vacation destinations for Americans just 90 miles off of our shores in Cuba.

And for millionaire neo-con "actor" Thompson to refer to Moore's "clever" falsehoods, does he mean exposing the the lies and liars that led us into destroying another country that never attacked us or the lies that have killed and wounded thousands of our soldiers for no reason whatsoever? I feel totally sorry for our troops and their families that have been lied to in order to justify this mindless occupation of Iraq so Bush could prance around in a flight suit on an aircraft carrier and tout mission accomplished - just like when he congratulated "Brownie" for the great job he did in destroying New Orleans.

I mean, afterall, look at all of the good things that have happened because we invaded Iraq. And all Thompson and our corrupt government can do is go after a filmmaker who is about to expose the absurd hypocrisy of our health care "system". It's more like a medical factory system where they drain every penney out of you they can like the the oil companies and then let you die. Meanwhile the fat cat health care administrators and drug companies laugh all the way to their Swiss bank accounts.

This situation highlights one of the most absurd policies in US history. As free American citizens who elect their government officials, doesn't anyone want to stand up and question an administration that dictates where you can go outside this country? The idea of an economic embargo against Cuba is as outdated as the Cold War. Castro is 80 years old and dying, and you'd think that Cubans would be planning a revolt. Instead they flood the streets in support of their leader. We've given "most favored nation" trade status to the biggest Communist country in the world, and our corporate leaders are tripping over each other to do business with China's government-owned enterprises, while turning a blind eye to their continued purges of democracy movements, freedom of speech, and other institutions that we supposedly hold dear. All this while we have imposed a crippling 50-year full trade embargo on Cuba and continued to occupy the east end of their country, running one of the most controversial prison systems in the world, in defiance of their request that we leave. Castro overthrew a ruthless dictator who allowed foreign companies to own all the land. Peasant workers died in sugarcane and tobacco fields from brutal working conditions. The American mafia had it's headquarters in Havana. Now Cuba has universal health care, free education, 95% literacy, and a resurgent economy despite our embargo. And Bush wants to punish people who go there for health care!
