I have no idea what in the world you are talking about.I dont think anyone should have been murdered.I simply think that if you are going to be disruptive and rude and ruin everyone elses experience by heckling someone, then you better bet your a$$ that anything and everything is fair game.I would like to see all of you critics keep your cool while performing in front of an audience while two hecklers are verbally abusing you and trying to humilate you.
If I am at a comedy show and I heckle someone on stage...I think anything is fair game and I would get what I deserved, this is why I DONT simulate this type of behavoir.I already said Michael Richards may not have handled it as best he could have but you can only poke a bear so many times before he strikes!

To politikz:

I am actually half white and half Arab, and I'm Catholic =) Not all Arabs are Muslim (most in my home country are Christian actually), and about 99.9% are not terrorists.

But this isn't about me.

My point is:
We will never live in a politically correct world. Even if Michael didn't go off on a seemingly drunk tirad, and had used that word in a joking context, people STILL would be making a fuss about it.

I do not condone his comments. It was wrong and I don't like the word he used. I am passionate about the fact that everytime someone ratstar1 "thinks is white" he or she comes back with even more proof of my point in the first place.

Malcolm X probably wouldn't be paying attention to either one of you.

jfabber, I'm not trying to twist your words, but do you think those two guys deserve to be murdered and hung upside down from a tree with a fork...as Michael Richards' suggested? I think you and tonnie45 are getting too passionate and starting to sound like you condone wholeheartedly or in part Micheal Richards' comments.

jfabber, we are making two different points.

Richards didn't know how to comically defend himself, so he resorted to N**! N**! N**! This kind of outburst is NEVER deserved.

Richards should of made fun of their clothes, their occupation, challenged them to come up on stage....anything but shouting racial-hating slurs.

Slave to the past of my ancestors? Far from it! You however remain a slave to ignorance, get you some knowledge and not through black friendships. In the words of Malcolm X, Profanity is the expression of a week mind... So since I'm an A**
that would mean you're weak, minded that is. The way I see it, my words anger you. Is it the words or the truth behind them that anger you so? Dig deep tonnie45! Just like Richards you're angry, so you name call, no wonder you come to his defense, you're not different from him at all!
Holla

My point EXACTLY.These men got what they deserved.
If you are going to heckle ANYONE continuously then please expect a response sooner or later and you just might not like what you hear!
This just isnt such a big deal.

Yu are an a** like I said. Typical!! Nough said.
If you feel it is a white site, then go. As far as I'm concerned you are the one that is being racist. It seems to me that you don't think white people could understand. That is where you are wrong. No I am not black or of color, but I know enough about black history to know that there was alot of needless suffering. No I don't agree with what happened then, neither do I think that African Americans in this country will ever be able to gain any ground as long as they keep looking to blame every little mistake that they make on what happend along time ago. IT IS OVER!!!! You are a slave to the past of you ancetors. Don't do that to yourself. Choose to move forward, not stay stagnant with the past!!!!

What Michael Richards said was repugnant; there's not much of an excuse for it. To be fair, however, I've heard some things on BETV said by black comedians that made my white girl hair curl. Anyone who goes to a comedy show knows that any person, place, or thing is grist for the mill to a comedian-look at Borat for Pete's sake. Does it make the joke tasteful? Not necessarily. My guess is Richards thought he was being funny. Unfortuantely for him, it backfired.

Simmer down now tonnie45. My comments seem to hold some truth, otherwise you wouldnt want my black face to leave your white site? How's that for twisting? What's the problem tonnie45, did I hit a sore spot? Or will my comments cause you to take a deeper look into something you know nothing about, having "black friends" doesnt mean you can relate their black history or culture!

jfabber, I have been to plenty of comedy shows and hecklers have been at most of them. A "TALENTED" comic will zing him/her good enough to shut them up without resorting to racists/angry tirades. This is part of the fun of comedy shows. "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

If you go to car races, don't be surprised to see crashes or flat tires.
If you go to baseball games, don't be surprised to see hecklers and/or people booing. etc, etc...

It's funny how you want people to take responsibility for there own actions but yet you want to blame the "two men" and their disruptive behavior for Richards responses? I dont get it jfabber.

Why hasnt anyone mentioned how RUDE it was that two people(no matter what color)were heckling Michael Richards. When did this behavior become okay??I understand his frustration completely! I cant think of anything more disrespectful then what those two men did while other paying customers were trying to enjoy the comedy show!Michael Richards didnt need to go there and use the N word, but get over it already.Cant you see his anger had been building up with frustration? In my opinion,if those two men wouldnt have been so disruptive, none of this would have ever happened! When will people ever be responsible for their own actions?????????????????
I dont care what color his hecklers were, its just plain RUDE!

ratsstar1,
If you don't know the respective works and history of these comedians, then it would be difficut to explain to you what would otherwise be obvious. And regarding the first part of my statment, read it until your intellect grasps it.
