So that''s how a disabled Publish Button works. Awesome. I always figured disabled meant something like "off", or "not working now".
With the exception of your first reference (about drunkards not inheriting the kingdom) all those scriptures really don''t reveal any divine intellectual insight on drunkenness; they are all referring to the common knowledge at the time. Perhaps that''s even more condemning: it is easy to ignore a revelation from God if you don''t believe in God but those verses you quote show that we have documentation from about 3000 years ago (I''m guessing the date but I''m sure I''m within a few hundred years) that people have been aware of the very real problems of alcohol abuse since at least that time. The fact is, there is little that a prophet of an all-knowing God could tell us about it that we don''t already know (and obviously have known for a long time). And still it makes no difference.
Stick1770 - I agree with your opinion. Alcohol is much more dangerous yet it''s legal because the government can detect what amount of alcohol a person has in his system and fine (punish) you accordingly. However they cannot with pot so it won''t be made legal until they can.
five years is nothing, they should have given him 15 years at least, and the other one who killed another person should have been given a minimum of 20 to life.
Too young, no sense yet of personal responsibility, the result of lousy parenting, immature and self-centered. Hopefully a jail term will wake some of them up.

Not really, they just have more ways to publicize their stupidity than past generations had.
Of course, the lesson here is DON''T DRINK & DRIVE! It''s don''t get caught.
That is a BIG part of the underlying problem. And a BIG part of why lawyers are considered such scum.
Hopefully a jail term will wake some of them up.
