It is always amusing to read the skeptic posts. Most of these folks have no idea of the science involved, yet they just KNOW that it just a big hoax. Of course they are smarter than the actual scientists who do the research and publish the data ... LOL

The title is wrong. This has to do with rising CO2 levels, not global warming. Jeeze CBS, you''ll just slap the "global warming" headline on any story these days, won''t you?

The global warming hype is back.

"Koalas are threatened by the rising level of carbon dioxide pollution in the atmosphere because it saps nutrients from the eucalyptus leaves they feed on, a researcher said Wednesday"

From Wikipedia, earth''s atmosphere:

Nitrogen 78.0842%
Oxygen 20.9463%
Argon 0.93422%
Carbon dioxide 0.03811% ----
Water vapor about 1%
Other 0.002%

That''s right, the percentage of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is 38thousandth''s of a percent.

Where do they find these junk scientists?

I accept full responsibility for this situation. In 1997 I mowed my lawn on an ozone action day.

If carbon dioxide is a problem, plant more trees.

Or at least create an analogue for the photosynthesis process that would turn CO2 into carbon + O2.

''global warming'' is a bit of a mixed bag, but there are more potential upsides -- especially in terms of plant growth. Plant life is crucial...

Bull$hit! Trees breath carbon dioxide. In green houses the respiration of plants is so high carbon dioxide must be injected for the plants to even grow. Most indoor pot growers use carbon dioxide to increase the yield of their crops.
