"Unfair and untrue. Gore has been a big advocate and worker for many environmental issues and causes for many many years.
The neocons simply use Gore as a strawman for their transparent arguments against any kind of environmental regulations, including those for greenhouse gases. And that is a fact."

Dr. Finster,
Algore isn''t any more pure or innocent that your favorite Conservatice Punching Bag.
Algore has had his dirty little hands in things like dirty mining and tabacco farming, even after his sister died of lung cancer.

He''s not the poster boy for innocence and charity you''re trying to make him out to be.

The left leaning elite is jealous of the profits the other half makes on oil and natural gas-so they''ve cooked up a pretentious scheme, reeking of the mythological realm,to squeeze the regular citizens even more.
You see, some of these self appointed nobility, own properties in Europe(or go in vacations there),so they''re getting acquainted with the local rackets.
Example-in London cars bigger than a motoscooter can only drive there if they pay additional taxes.
Or,in Italy, roads have a toll booth in the middle-every 25 miles in some places.
Remember,if there is no problem-there also there''s no need to support additional parasites-"scientists",politicians,environmental lawyers etc.(just like the priesthood in the past).

Gore has made himself a multi-millionair from the phony global warming and environment hype. He has a business selling carbon credits based on his hysterical global warming/enviroment double talk.

Utter truth on global warming or not, I wholly agree Al''''s in it for the money. After all, we''''ve read report after report about his own usage, and if he lacks the clout on Apple''''s board to have done what other companies do, let''''s be glad he was never president, I suppose. (When Greenpeace goes after Apple for iWaste, the fingers go to the board and Al happens to be on that board.)

There is a reason they take the stance they do and I assure you, it is not in the name of science. We''''ve already seen Al Gores plan to cash in on the hype.

The cool thing about the Brazilian oil field is that since they have shifted their vehicle fuel infrastructure to sugarcane ethanol, they can export virtually all that oil. Wouldn%u2019t it be great if they chose to pizz off the OPEC crooks by selling it to America at a reduced price? Won%u2019t happen, though. They%u2019ll probably be invited to join OPEC and wallow in the obscene profits those baztards make.

Dr. Finster,
That was my attempt at humor.

BTW, I met a lady from Tillamook today. That''''s in your part of the country, isn''''t it?

No, that is the coast. I am way over in the desert, central Oregon near Bend. Lots of sunshine.

Since no one will do anything about the unrestrained procreation that is the only problem in the world today, we must rely on global warming hysteria to keep the environmental damage down to a level from which it may eventually be able to recover. Perhaps the UN and other influential people and groups know humans will not voluntarily reproduce in responsible numbers, so they must use things like global warming to try and mitigate the damage done by overpopulation. Natural climate change just happened to become noticeable at the right time to serve the purpose.

Humans will not take steps to cull the herd, so nature will do it for us sooner or later. Not through global warming, but through disease, starvation, and lack of useable water (which exacerbates the first two). So go ahead and have 4 or more kids! Just understand that you are condemning them to live in Hell on Earth. The more you have, the sooner that Hell will arrive.

UsBrit,

Sure, we can continue tomorrow. Hopefully you''ll be able to read my last post of the day before you sign off. The land masses were obviously different with the dinosaurs. In fact they were different 50,000 years ago. Thats a given. What impact did that have on the climate? No one knows so its really not possible to make a statement either way. The point is that whether we are helping it or not, we are not changing it. And we can not change it for the better either. And if we were able to affect it, would we really be doing the right thing? There is a reason its called nature. If we go in trying to cool off the climate, we may just be hastening the next ice age. To counter you point about the climate trend, yes you do see upward trends. But those trends are over millions of years long before anything was ever ''man made'' much less having man affect the climate. The truth is that we are actually cooler now than the median temperature for the last 300 years. Hard to make an argument that its man made in light of that evidence. Again, its obvious that our climate warms and cools and will continue to do so whether we want to change it or not. I just want to make sure that everyone is informed enough to realize that alarmist like Al Gore and the UN are WRONG! There is a reason they take the stance they do and I assure you, it is not in the name of science. We''ve already seen Al Gores plan to cash in on the hype.
