That is a good point. The oceans appear to be near saturation with CO2. The oceans have been masking the additional human CO2 for years. Most experts think that CO2 levels will dramatically spike when the oceans are fully saturated...

Right ubrew12,
There''s NEVER been any drought on the planet until Global Warming came along.

Your comment is what I love about the Global Warming Sheep position: FROM THIS DAY FORWARD, ALL DROUGHT, FLOODS, HURRICANES, TORNADOES, AND ANY BAD WEATHER EXTREME IS NOW THE FAULT OF HUMAN BEINGS AND NOT THE PLANET.

Going to bed.
See you at the next CBS Global Warming Scarry News story.

Jimfinster

If Hawksprings is 2 hours behind New York, then how far behind are you in Oregon.

Incidentally your Capital I think is Portland, we also have two towns of that name here in Australia, I realise there is also one in Maine.

Enjoy your drought. Don''t think about what''s causing it.

In the ocean-atmosphere system the ''lead weight'' is the ocean. We''ve been pushing on this lead weight for 100 years. How easy will it be to stop it, once it starts moving (ie heating)?

The history of ice ages show how easily earth''s climate falls through ''tipping points'' from which its very hard to return. Global warming deniers are fiddling while Rome burns.

Dr. Finster, rheola, erasmus,
You all are welcome to come to Cheyenne anytime and enjoy our cool summers.

Come to "Cheyenne Frontier Days" the last week of July.
It''s the World''s Largest Outdoor Rodeo.

They just announced yesterday that Rascall Flats is doing a concert on two nights this year.

If you come, I''ll buy you lunch at the Tortilla Factory, a little dive on the south side of town.

Good night.

The "Big Mac" post was just for fun. But there is an element of truth there. That is, you are ignoring a very obvious cause and effect.

As a long-time working geologist, I concur with your statement. Yes, there have been dramatic shifts in climate over the history of the earth. But there were not 6.6 billion humans scratching for survival at the time. We have maximized population during a time of optimum climate. Climate change will be harsh for many, especially those in tropical areas...
