I still think Budweiser should sponsor one of these missions.
They have a cool looking logo.

Given that two have already exploded (a lot of people seem to have missed the second one, due to the terrorist excitement), it is completely irresponsible to still be using these outdated shuttles. Of course, NASA is given little choice, due to their insulting budget. Are they just going to keep launching these things until they all self-destruct? If we had stuck to, and properly funded the space program through the years as we should have, there's a very good likelihood that all of our current problems---including the "war on terror" and even global warming---would be seen from a very different perspective.

As for MichelleM99's maudlin comments, I know it's all trendy to worship and mourn McAuliffe, but six other people were killed in Challenger, as well, and seven more in the Columbia. Pretty selective prayers you're offering up to The Big Guy in the Sky, don't you think?

What do you think some of that 5000 pounds of supplies is? I would have to say that half if not more is the booze. They got to have something to do in space. Can't drink down here on earth anymore. And yes, the bar is finished.

I though the delay was to finish the installation of the wet bar on board.

Oh well. Come home safe.

Light beer travels better in space.
It's less filling.

Just kidding, good luck and come back safe. Remember, you are our tax dollars at work, so do a good job.

Do you think they really had to delay launch from yesterday to today for a leaky valve or was it because one of them had to sober up?

There are no technical problems of any significance at pad 39A, adds Harwood

That is good news.

Have a flight of a lifetime Teacher Barbara. Please remember Teacher who is in heaven in lessons educating our children there. Love you Christa as I still remember her kindness at the Thanksgiving dinner at her church in NH in 85.Her pretty voice and just a loving person who gave of herself. The dinner and piece of punpkin was so good. Now she has rested in peace since that awful day. I still think of her.
Barbara and crew have safe trip and back.
