erasmus6, you should add that the 1 doctor that says your kid isn't sick is whining, shouting, shaking & pointing at the other doctors, telling you how pissed you are at them for telling you such bad news, and how much money it'll cost for you to make your child well, if he was actually sick, which he's not, because the fever & vomiting is a perfectly natural phase he's going thru.

OK, so let me get this straight. What you people in denial are saying is that if you say had a child and 3 doctors told you you needed to make some lifestyle changes or your child would die and 1 doctor said that that wasn't true, you would go with the 1 doctor that said it wasn't true? You would take that chance just because you really didn't want to take a bit of time and money to make those changes. Or maybe you thought that the 3 doctors were Liberals or whatever? (i threw that in because i know how obsessed you people are with that c-r-a-p.)
I know that there are a lot of people that can't afford to make certain changes, but it is about doing what YOU can do, even if it is just one thing.

And the correlation with cows emitting green house gases, which is true, does also in part show the absolute stupidity of your argument, because if as you say, with the other causes you blame, Global warming is being caused by these, then surely we must make the preparations for the event as a result of that cause.

even W has recognized that Global Warming is happening, it's irrefutable fact. all of the causes aren't in question, either, by anybody with an I.Q. i honestly dont care what 'we' do about it, but like most people, i will do what i can, when i can, and try to not worry otherwise.

Canongate9- you are right. I think from now on we are going to see more dramatic changes in temperature and with that increase we are going to see more diseases. There will not be enough time to come up with new medicines. We already have a problem with antibiotics not working anymore. Of course right now that is from us abusing them. They have said that as we get warmer places that don't normally have a particular disease will start seeing it, like malaria, for instance.

The difference between the acid rain and global warming is that I can see with my own eyes the changes that are happening. And as far as acid rain goes, I don't ever recall hearing that it doesn't exist.

They talk about "extinctions", but has anyone mentioned the potential for the warming of the earth to trigger an evolutionary bloom in microbes? We could see bacteria and viruses quickly evolve for which we have no immunity or medicine.
