- Well I guess we now know who was the best man in the 2000 election don't we. LOL On one side we have a man doing work for the nation and all of man kind. On the other we have a moron getting the living daylights kicked out of himself in a civil war that HE created. On top of that one has a vice president who seems intent on denying the rights of all people to Govern themselves. Now there have been some terrible picks in history, the Germans and Hitler comes to mind, but this may well have been the WORST EVER!!

- In 1988, I heard Gore speak on the environment during his run for president-- environmentalism is no mere incidental interest of his.
Gore's book, EARTH IN THE BALANCE, began Gore's development as a spokesman for the most important technical and political challenge America ever has has to face.
Though the temptation has been to take the easy road and become alarmist and apocalyptic, Gore has remained true to the belief reason and cooperative effort will resolve the crisis. In this alone, Gore has been a leader of major caliber.
If we are successful, we give our children a future, and generations to come a sense of admiration for our responsibility.
