Carl Sagan pointed out several things already stated here, such as, there are billions of stars in the galaxy, there are billions of galaxies, there are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on the earth. He discussed that it appeared likely that we are not alone, but he acknowledged that there is no proof yet of any life elsewhere. He also pointed out that the vast majority of stars are extremely far away, making space travel extremely difficult.

But best of all, he said that extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. There is no basis to conclude that something you cannot figure out is necessarily a spaceship from another planet, or an evil spirit, or a god, or anything else in particular. It is simply unknown until sufficient evidence appears to reach a reliable conclusion. Here is a question- with all of the people using O'Hare, like tourists with cameras, and people with cell phone cameras, did anyone attempt pictures, and if so, where are they?

I definitely agree, they do exist. It's been a while since the first UFO appearance happened. The sighting took place in my native country (EL SALVADOR)in 1994, it was almost midnight, we had a christian outdoor campaing ,everyone was singing, clapping and suddenly, a little kid pulled my shirt and pointed to the sky, what I saw was so huge and unbelievable, a very black rounded thing, an inmense dark circle like a hole over us,its speed was about ten miles per hour and spining about three sixty degrees every two seconds, it had between ten to twelve purple lights forming a circle as well.Everybody was paralized for a few seconds but, they completely ignored it. IMHO: Whoever this creatures are, may have a good message to the human being.(peace?)

I've got an interesting book here called "Fingerprints Of The Gods" that I just borrowed the other day. I haven't had a chance to read through it yet but it looks pretty interesting. I believe he claims the aztec and egyptian pyramids are actually some sort of UFO landing site... I've heard a lot of good things about this book and plan on reading it here soon. Also if you look into people like Aleister Crowley he claims a space alien/demon channeled him the Law Of Thelema... could these gods and demons actually be visitors from another realm? I think it's possible... Is it possible that other dimensions exist that we don't know how to access?? Possibly... You can't see sound waves but they're there, you usually can't see electricity, but it's there... don't you think there's the possible that other things may exist as well but we aren't yet able to sense them?

When I smoke I either sit outside or sit in this backroom when it's too cold so my house doesn't get all discolored from cigarette smoke etc... and while I'm smoking I usually check out the sky especially if it's a clear night. I've noticed many unusual things, like the 7 satellite type objects hovering above my area every night. Then down the way there's one of these satellite type objects that has a smaller red light type object that rotates around it... a satellite of a satellite... This stuff is there every night, it's not like it's unusual or anything.. I sat there one night and watched a red light in the distance (not blinking like an aircraft light) move across the horizon and my entire field of vision in the space of a drag off a cigarette... So check out the sky more often and see what you see... There are plenty of UFO's up there, but I really doubt they're anything from "Outer Space" though.

I believe the reports about the sighting event! Before I finally saw one for myself I did not believe those reports either. I did not ask to see it in 1995 when I was returning from Detroit Lake area to Salem at around 11 PM. It followed me for 12 miles. That was a little disturbing to me to say the least. And I saw that UFO within 200 to 300 feet away from me over the trees. At the time I expected it was just a USA high tech machine kept secret as most stuff should be. I told my friends at work about the event and what I saw and my best friend told me that I probably just saw a Greyhound bus pass me. Pretty funny now to think about all of my friends reactions at work. But I assure you these units exist and I expect more to appear in the future. They are amazing but pretty *** spooky when you see them the very first time. Next time, I hope they beam me up, and I get to look at the control console and panels closer. Maybe get trained how to fly it. What a dream! But very possible. And if I end up missing one day from planet earth, they (UFO) or the gov. got me for tight security reasons. Also I invite everyone to get onto their net sights and type in astronauts and UFO's on moon. Our very own space astronauts saw them first hand and they tell their stories of what they saw. One comment they said was, "Those things are huge". They also said that every time that they went into space they were watched and followed.

lily_ayanami:

400 billion times 100 billion times 400 billion times X,(the unknown number of orbiting bodies around any given star) and you came up with FOUR?

Was there some kind of attempt at humor there that I missed, or are you that incredibly stupid? Or stoned?

Are you perhaps a product of Bush's 'No Child Left Behind' educational system? You could even make that imbicle appear to be of normal intellegence.

Actually, you sound as if you could be in his cabinet.
