American's have a new theme song for the southern conservative: "Smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette; smoke smoke smoke until you smoke yourselves to death! Most smokers are low and low middle class and things like this, due to most not quitting, serves only to make their lives more difficult and takes food out of their mouths.

Congress on Friday sent to the White House legislation that gives the U.S. government vast new powers to regulate and restrict reproduction, the single largest cause of overpopulation and poverty.


I actually see this headline coming in the not to distant future.

Smokers, FDA will now be able to take your money to help fund Obama's welfare programs (nothing to do with health). In fact, most kids will see this as "it must be safe now" since it's controlled by the FDA right? (thus insuring future revenue for Obama). Sort of like how the drug cartels make money in Mexico except this is supposed to be legal. Socialism continues to march forward folks...and...all I can hope for is that most smokers are liberals and voted for this change. You deserve what's coming!

Regulations for our food products exist, but the FDA has no cajones to do much about it....

Are you willing to give up a right of yours when you take away the right of another? Your right to a fair trial will do. Because according to the Constitution to take away the rights of a citizen they must have committed a crime, smoking is legal therefore smokers have commited no crime, smokers have had no fair trial to deprive them of that choice, yet it is being taken away.

We don't have laws for accidental deaths in a car crash, nor for the person in a car dying in a crash involving no other. Saying drivers in cars have killed as if somehow that is different from a person inhaling a cigarette is misleading

."We all know only a few states allow idiots to own guns..." How many states qualify as a few? Are you saying that idiots are permitted or all gun owners are idiots?

American made food for one, that would include all of the extra fillers, chemicals and additional additives, as well as very poor diets and choices. Many of these do not fall under the auspices of the FDA.

Aside from all of that, there is a very large portion of this country that does not need a nanny or someone else constantly telling us how to live our lives. We enjoy our free will, regardless of the consequences to ourselves. That is what free will is. To have a government continue to insinuate itself in our lives and interfere with our ability to make personal decisions that have minimal impact on others is inexcusable.

We are only allowed those "freedoms" approved by our government(aka babysitters). We cannot speak freely, that freedom is gone, in its place is PC. If you speak out against something you will be labeled as a terrorist. If you say something against a group you can be charged with a hate crime. We are no longer free to drive without a seatbelt or auto insurance those freedoms are gone. Now the attack on tobacco, where you cannot pursue your habit of choice anywhere but your home and that will be in question before long. Every little snip has reduced our freedoms, one day they will have snipped away the last remnants of it and we will be the same as China or North Korea.
