- I came down with the flu last week during all the panic and school closings. My school age daughter and all her friends had it the week before it made the news. The extra anxiety and gridlock at the medical offices caused by all the media attention left me feeling helpless. Luckily my daughter and her friends were getting over it, as I was coming down with it. So I was confident I could beat the flu with the usual doses of Nyquil- aspirin- and herbal teas.
I didn't bother going to the doctor's office to see if I had H1N1, but we had all the correct symptoms. I live on the fringe of American civilization, only a few hours from Mexico. - Reply to this comment
- The true RUBBISH will come when Obama's "total control" health care plan destroys the top health care system in the world.

The top health care system in the world? Are you kidding me? - Reply to this comment
- "RUBBISH" RUBBISH is correct. RUBBISH is all the over-blown pandemic swine flu warnings. RUBBISH is saying that we are currently prepared for the pandemic with vaccines then saying they won't be ready until December. RUBBISH is calling swine flu "H1N1" not to offend the pork industry. The true RUBBISH will come when Obama's "total control" health care plan destroys the top health care system in the world.

- I am now convinced that this president really has no idea what he is doing perhaps Joe Biden should take over. No border fence, cut the defense budget, no war on terror, release gitmo prisoners, cut funding to put illegal immigrants that commit crimes in jail. Not to mention a high percentage of unemployment with more control of the banks and auto industry what is next to come?

- With 30 thousand dying each year from the "ordinary" flu, one has to wonder why you media make such a big deal about a death from the A/H1N1 flu strain. Afterall, we lose 50 thousand a year on our highways and we do not hear a peep about that tragic loss of life. The media has become the worse kind of tabloid fear mongers. No wonder Bush had such an easy time intimating you saps into not criticizing his stupid policies.

- That's better. Build up the crisis slowly, judiciously. Not that let's-all-panic-the-first-day BS that the media (and their brain-dead script writers) tried.

- You are correct, and "global_eye" has posted this same stuff on these forums for the past few months. I actually privately emailed him trying to tell him that he was not fooling everyone with his anti-Christ deception. He's brainwashed....it's truly sad.
only the LORD's intervention will snap him out of it.

There are those who will buy into his hype. Many people will be fooled. Only those who have accepted Jesus will see him for what he is. Those people are becoming fewer every day. Which is also part of the prophecy. - Reply to this comment
- There is one leader, or teacher, that humanity will soon see and hear, who understands more than anyone what is needed, who is incorruptible, who speaks for the hungry, the under-heard and under-represented....his personal name: Maitreya
His presence among us brings reassurance that the future is full of hope, healing and cooperation among nations to solve our major problems.

He is the one people need to watch out for. This is the first time I have seen a name attached to him though. The only other name I knew for him was the Anti-Christ. - Reply to this comment

Well, you should know what the problem is!
After having operated on a day to day fear basis for eight years under the Bush administration, it's probably tough to 'throw on the air brakes' and 'go cold turkey' and then suddenly flip into a mode you're unaccustomed to using---it's a shock to the system!
Like the president, I'm prepared to give the general media some leeway, some recovery
time to get back to ' truth in reporting ' standards! I say the 'general media'---not media groups that never were independent or used independent judgement or reporting standards!
Groups like Rupert Murdoch's or stations like Fox News, are not independent news reporting sources, they have an agenda which ALL news is reported through! - Reply to this comment
