Strange thing is that you started calling me a racist after i told you tha I have neighbors that hgappen to be black and that we socialize quite abit. You on the other hand condone the way First Nation people are treated wrongly in Canada. Strange isn't it. Like the pot calling the kettle black
Posted by mrcrosbyll at 10:10 PM : Apr 28, 2009

Okay, now I know your a sickie. I called you a racist BEFORE you told me that your neighbors were black. You told me that in DEFENSE of what I said. You are a real joke.
And that fact that you say that I condoned the treatment of the First Nations proves that you are sick, because I said no such thing. You should really seek help.

Fellow citizens, we now know why this lethal strain of swine flu is spreading so quickly.

It is being spread by asymptomatic carriers. This means that unlike a normal flu, which is most often only contagious when someone starts sneezing and coughing, this flu is spread before anyone has any symptoms.

So it has been spreading like wildfire because people are walking around for one to three days spreading the disease before they even know they're sick. The best known case in history of asymptomatic contagion is Typhoid Mary.

Therefore the only way to limit contagion is social distancing. This means all travel in and out of the country must be stopped, all schools must immediately be shut down, public gatherings must be canceled, no one should be going to work, and in fact no one should leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.

I know these seem like drastic measures, and they are, but it is the only way to stop the spread of asymptomatic contagion. And if we all do this for just a month, we will greatly limit the spread of this virus.

The reason the CDC is not telling you this is because they have two conflicting priorities. One is to stop panic, and the other is to protect public health. But unfortunately they always choose to attempt to stop panic over protecting public health for financial reasons. And it always backfires.

So please, do everything you can to distance yourselves from others, and in fact you should only go out now to get whatever supplies you need to survive for a month.

And do not be fooled by those more concerned with money than you or your loved ones health. This is an extremely serious situation, and it is time to think for yourselves, and do what you know is right, not what the CDC knows is wrong, but will tell you anyway simply to keep the flow of cash going to as great a degree as possible.

And finally, this is not just SearingTruth speaking, I have spoken to multiple health officials this morning who agree, but cannot speak out publicly because the law only allows them to repeat what the CDC tells them to.

The regulars on this forum know that I am apolitical, and only desire what is best for all the citizens of our earth. So once again, I plead with you, heed my warning, and protect yourselves, and your children. Call your Governors and demand social distancing before it is too late

An attack is what Irish wench did to me. I was posting my comments about something and she accused me of thinking it was alright to beat children. I said no such thing. I told her so and reposted my comments, but she still accused me. I don't mind people have a different opinion than I do, but I do NOT like people saying that I said something that I didn't. That is an attack.

I hear you.

I know IW well, and have always seen her to be very level-headed. I also don't know all of the details, so won't try to go further there.

I think labels are often the problem. "Attack" is subjective - you have your definition, and I have mine. I thought we both attacked, even if it was a response to what we saw as his racist statement.

And there's another label people will never agree on - "racist". Or conservative, or liberal, or Republican, or Christian, or Muslim, or religious, or morals.

Labels divide, because no one agrees on them.

But it sure can make a lengthy board discussion! We'll have to disagree on our definitions of "attack". But that's ok - we're allowed to do so and still get along, right?

erasmus, I have reported you for constanly calling me a racist when in fact it is you that is the racist. I hope I never run into you, or your kind on this site again. I find you to be extemely ignorant about everything that comes out of your mouth and you are quite offensive with your racist statements

You can say whatever you like, it doesn't change the fact that you are a racist. You are also very childish. : )

Since you have never been to Montana, please discribe it to me. I am sure you can. You speak like an authority about things you have no idea about, so I am sure you can describe Montana to us all in detail

I'm beginning to think that you are one of the mentally unstable. See what I mean? I was talking to you quite awhile and didn't realize it. Goes to show, you just never know.

"...That does cause anxiety. I will keep good thoughts for you and your son. Hopefully he will try to be cautious. It is so hard to get that age group to not feel invincible."
IrishWench01

Very intuitive my friend. At 15 he is so proud to be in college that now I cannot get him to ask to stay at home, which because of the swine flu epidemic he could do without his mothers permission, so long as he has another parent to stay with. But he refuses to ask to stay with me during the day because he wants to be with his friends.

And I think it has much to do with all the college babes he gets to hang around with. He is not only intellectually beyond his years, but also physically looks like he is at least 20, and dresses and has hair like Ozzy Osbourne.

But I'm so worried I'm about to drag him out of there whether he likes it or not, although at this point I don't think I could. I should have never paid for those darn Taekwondo lessons.

As far as health care goes, Canadian health care is NOTHING to brag about. Socialized medicine has been a nightmare there and you know it. If not, you are the only one who does not know it
Posted by mrcrosbyll at 9:59 PM : Apr 28, 2009

Canadian healthcare isn't perfect. I never said it was. But it is almost perfect compared to yours. It isn't a nightmare at all. Not even close. There is no one in Canada that would trade ours for yours. They ain't crazy. You are going to have to pick something else because you are wasting your time on this subject.

You don't attack? Labeling people is usually seen as an attack...

Calling anyone a racist is at the very least an affront, even if you feel it's deserved. That's a bit more than a comment. Even if it's in response to something you saw as offensive.

I did the same thing, but I knew how what I was doing would be interpreted...

I don't just attack people out of the blue. I was having a conversation with mrcrosby. When he made the racist statement, I called him on it. He made a racist comment and so therefore I believe him to be a racist. I stated my opinion. He then tried to turn it around, which is okay because that is human nature. I can take it. : )

Ya know, it's funny, but I really don't care much what a racist thinks. And you are a racist. You can deny it all you want, it doesn't change that fact.
Posted by erasmus111

Well, certainly no one could see THAT as an "attack".

Right?

Geesh.

I did the same thing. I just knew what I was doing would be seen as an attack.

I try not to worry too much about it and then the news releases a statement such as "the CDC says that people will begin to die." Great way to keep things calm :-/

Also try to steer clear of articles like "What You Don't Know About Your Morning Coffee May Kill You" and "Shampoo - the Silent Killer".

Never let them say we don't have a sensationalist press... '-)

Do get them well soon, though... please...

Actually it is incorrect. Anyone who has been institutionalized for a mental condition can NOT own a gun
Posted by mrcrosbyll at 9:47 PM : Apr 28, 2009

Do you know how many people out there that are mentally unstable and have never been institutionalized? Your neighbor could be mentally unstable and you would never know it. There are millions of people out there that are not fit to own a gun. All those people that did these mass shooting were not criminals before. And I bet they all owned a gun legally.

That is rediculous and you are not nearly as informed as you say you are. In fact everyone is free to live wherever they want and it is in fact illegal for a realtor to even try to steer someone to one neighborhood or another. if ethnic group tend to live together it is purely by choice.
Posted by mrcrosbyll at 9:43 PM : Apr 28, 2009

Well as far as the neighborhood thing goes, I heard it from other people on here. And I don't take just one person's word for it.

And as for the rest of it, the guns, the laws, healthcare, that I get from the stories, people's comments, and research. I guess I can't believe ANYTHING, huh? EVERYTHING is a lie. Wow.

"....Oh no, They , my youngest more than any, has a bad case of tonsilitis we believe. I took them to the doctor today and a Step test was negative. Just a general virus I was told.
I'm watching them closely though. They are actually somewhat on the mend

I'm concerned just in geeral about the swine flu. They made mention on the news with some illness in Colo., but that nothing has been confirmed through tests yet.

Thank you for your concern :-) I hope all is well with you."
IrishWench01

Thank goodness. You really scared me. But it is prudent to continue to watch them until they are well, and yourself. We are in very unpredictable territory.

I'm doing fine, but am very worried about my son. Although he's of high school age, he goes to a college where many with dual Mexican/American citizenship regularly cross the border. I've urged my ex to pull him out of such a dangerous environment, but she doesn't understand the gravity and danger of the situation.

So I wait everyday in fear of news of infection in the area.

Canada is ashame of you and your coments , and I pray that not all Canadians think the way you do .
Posted by odisc at 9:36 PM : Apr 28, 2009

I hate to say this, but I think most of them do. I don't think you realize how the rest of the world sees you. I read comments on here from people all over the world. They can't believe all the mass shooting or your gun laws. And it is a fact that you have major racism. That's the way it is. That is how people see you. If you don't like people stating their opinions, then maybe you should write or email CBS and tell them that.

I think that the people that have died in mexico are the very poor and this flu is as bad as any flu and all this panic has some cedit but not a fear the press has made this .Remember no one has died in the states , and lets pray none will. But I must say that it is spreading very fast and we can't stop it but with care it will be alright in the long run. Keep the faith in our CDC they are awesome people doing a fantastic job!
