Hey rightwingnut: You are the best evidence I could present to make my point. People too afraid to face life''s problems without being told what to think, like you, are fodder for the Born Again Agenda. Once the break you of your weekly bowling league drinking habit and get you to watch less rasslin on T.V., they can finally make you feel guilty about marrying your cousin and have you turn over your entire Walmart paycheck to the Preacher who is giving "private counseling" to your wife.

It is not my responsibility to help you raise your kids. If you do not want them to be promiscuous, teach them not to be. Do not expect me or anyone else to watch I Love Lucy reruns just to make your job easier.

Trying to blame teen pregnancy on sexual content in media; or for that matter, obesity on food commercials is simply a form of responsibility-dodging. You see the image of a hamburger and you get hungry. That you lack the self control to avoid running out and getting one speaks of your own irresponsibility in life. Yet our society wants to assign blame to advertisers for using this basic principle.

Look at it this way. A fish is caught by a worm on a hook because it is beyond the fish to realize that it is being trapped. If you have no greater mental capacity than a fish, then accept your station in life and shut up. The rest of us will not.

Yet they still have trouble just calling it bad or absentee parenting.

Contrary to popular belief, it is quite possible to get pregnant from sitting on a toilet seat. However, as sexual positions go, that one is not particularly comfortable.

Sure, so that''s why Teen Pregnancies are almost non existent in Europe, especially The Netherlands, where *** is no taboo (overall and on TV) and people (read teens) actually are informed about *** and birth control and especially safe ***.

Keeping *** in the taboo column will never solve the teen pregnancy issue in this country.

How interesting that talking about *** is taboo, but having 8 year old kids play with Uzi guns at gun shows is considered acceptable. So backwards.

*** is supposed to be fun, healthy and not scary. Unlike guns that are deadly, very unhealthy if you get hot by one and to normal people very scary.

Why is there a mentality in this country that as long as you keep it from people they will not do/seek it. All this study proves is that a lack of information for teens about contraceptives keeps them from using them.

That is a task for parents and schools, not TV.

I''d like to see a follow up study of children raised by ego-maniacal Hockey moms, and dragged to wacked out Born-Again-Churches to listen to "Ministers" who drive away witches and the impact that has upon the teens "promiscuity."

Study Links *** In Shows To Teen Pregnancy
"Participants were asked how often they watched any of more than 20 TV shows popular among teens at the time or which were found to have lots of sexual content. The programs included "*** and the City," "That ''70s Show" and "Friends."
I feel that the Writer/Researchers(?) are being overly naive on this one. Intentionally or unwittingly, they have overlooked an area of sexual influence that is far easier to access than TV Shows.
I.e., Porn Sites, the scourge of our PC generation!
As a Marine Veteran of WWII, I am no prude, but God only knows what we have allowed to be foisted upon our youth. You can talk about all the electronic preventive measures you want. Such measures can only slow down children''s access to these sites.
You will never put a stop to their access. Don''t kid yourself, youth will always find a way to get there.
These easily accessed porn sites will continue to do irreparable mental harm to our youth by way of the unimaginable perversions found there.

AZRAEK says:
until you sheep are willing to believe that parents now a day SUCK and can''''t educate their kids on right from wrong, you need to shut it and stop ruining everyone elses enjoyment of shows, because it is scapegoat seeking people such as yourself who get TV shows canceled, movies removed, and video games banned just because your kid is a snot.
