Screw all the mumbo jumbo about ***. Who in the government is responsible for such a huge blunder? If this is another bad call by the CDC, someone should be replaced immediately. Anytime ANY disease is misrepresented by such a huge margin, off with the head! We should never tolerate such incompetence for any reason. Or else!!

Well, FINALLY! A department under this administration that has stepped forward, admitted they have been errant, and are taking steps to adjust!

In spite of the bad news, I consider the CDC''s confession to be a positive story.

One of two things will now occur: either we won''t see any other departments do this, or, we''ll see ALL of them report drastic and dire news as the Bush administration ends and he prepares to skip town!

Camille Paglia, lesbiam activist: "Homosexuality is ''not normal''. On the contrary it is a challenge to the norm. Nature exists whether academics like it or not. And in nature, procreation is the single, relentless rule. That is the norm. Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction. No one is born gay. The idea is ridiculous. Homosexuality is an adaptation, not an inborn trait."
Camille Paglia: " We should be honest enough to consider whether homosexuality may not indeed be a pausing at the prepubscent stage where children anxiously band together bt gender...current gay cant insists that homosexuality is ''not a choice''; that no one would choose to be gay in a homophobic society. But there is an element of choice in all behavior, sexual or otherwise. It takes an effort to deal with the opposite ***; it is safer to deal with your own kind. The issue is one of challenge versus comfort."

Boys victimized by older men are far more likely to be homosexual as adults, and the cycle often repeats itself. More environmental factors.

15.) Noted child ***-abuse expert David Finkelhor found that "boys victimized by older men were over four times more likley to be currently engaged in homosexual activity than were non-victims. The finding applied to nearly half the boys who had such an experience. Further, the adolescents themselves often linked their homosexuality to their victimization experiences." etc

The American Psychological Association:

"Many scientists share the view that sexual orientation is shaped for many people at an early age through complex interactions of biology, psychological and social factors."

Sociologist Steven Goldberg:

"I know of no one in the field who argues that homosexuality can be explained without reference to environmental factors." 10a.) Science, 1994:

"Time and time again, scientists have claimed that particular genes or chromosomal regions are associated with behavioral traits only to withdraw their findings when they were not replicated. "Unfortunately," says Yale''s [Dr. Joel] Gelernter: "It''s hard to come up with many findings linking specific genes to complex human behaviors that have been replicated...all were announced with great fanfare, all were greeted unskeptically in the popular press; all are now in disrepute."

P. Scott Richards:

"Some environmental and psychological factors that may play a causal role in the development of homosexuality include: (1) cross-gender effiminate behavior in childhood. (2) gender-identity deficits (3) hostile, dteached or absent fathers (which leads to "defensive detachment" from the father and other males) and (4) overly close, controlling or dominating mothers.

Opinions are changing on the cause of homosexuality..
Science Shows That Homosexuals Are Not "Born That Way."

1.)Dr. Dean Hamer who failed to find a "gay gene":

"Homosexuality is not purely genetic. Environmental factors play a role. There is not a single master gene that makes people gay. I don''t think that we will ever be able to predict who will be gay."

2.) Dr. Dean Hamer was asked by Scientific American if homosexuality was rooted solely in biology. He replied:

"Absolutely not. From twin studies we already know that half or more of the variability in sexual orientation is not inherited. Our studies try to pinpoint the genetic factors, not negate the psychosocial factors."

Homosexual researcher Simon Levay, who studied the hypothalamic differences between the brains of heterosexuals and homosexuals:

"I didn''t show that gay men are born that way the msot common mistake people make in interpreting my work. Nor did I locate a gay center in the brain."

"Research studies on homosexuality by Dr''s Dean Hamer, Michael Bailey, Richard Dillard, Simon Levay. Laura Allen and Roger Gorski have failed to show proof of a gay gene. There is no scientific evidence that shows that homosexuality is genetic. The media has sensationalized and perpetuated the myth of a homosexual gene."

A few more points...

1) These are statistics based on only 22 states - and previously the CDC estimated the percentages. However, due to more sensitive tests that can now estimate time of transmission, they are better able to estimate the prevalence of HIV/AIDS
2) Some people simply do not have the assertiveness, courage, or even self esteem to obtain condoms (which are no longer provided as freely under the Bush administration) or insist their partners use condoms.
3) And, in many states, public health officials are required to notify when an HIV+ individual is at risk of infecting an identifiable third party.

6) Finally, everyone makes mistakes - if there is a person on this board that has not erred in their life more power to them, but let''s be realistic. First - there''s human error - using a condom incorrectly, a condom that is damaged, etc. Or, perhaps thinking that one''s partner is HIV negative - particularly as it appears many believe that this is a gay man''s disease.

The information that is posted on this board frankly scares me - people think that children should receive s*x education at home, yet it is obvious that many do not understand the basic biological basis of HIV/AIDS. No one is immune from this disease. Sorry folks.

4) Unfortunately, homophobia - both societal and internal - plays a huge factor in transmission of HIV. If your culture, family, religion does not accept homosexuality, some men choose to marry women - or carry on relationships with women - while continuing to have relationships with men on the side. Again, this is sexual desire not deviancy - as mentioned earlier on the page all people have sexual desires. Unfortunately, those men who have *** with men but do not identify as gay are often less prepared for sexual relationships - such as not using - or even having - a condom.
5) Unfortunately, due to the fact our children and adolescents are not receiving comprehensive s*x education, many people simply do not understand the disease transmission. Some may think that anal s*x is safer, or oral s*x is safer or not understand the proper way to use a condom or even the effectiveness of a condom - particularly if they''re told that condoms are not effective!

I''d like to clear up some misconceptions that have been posted on this message board. It''s obvious that there is quite a bit of hate, under education, and overall ignorance on this board.

1) Most state laws prohibit HIV testing without your knowledge. While the CDC released updated guidelines that all individuals should be tested, many state laws require informed consent, meaning that (1) you must consent to the test, and (2) you must understand that you''re being tested. Many people have a false sense of security thinking that they are testing any time blood is drawn. Not true!
2) Those who are gay and lesbian are not "choosing" this "immoral" lifestyle. It is biologically based, not because of their relationship with their father, or for any other reason. Just as straight people are attracted to those of the opposite ***, gay men and lesbians are attracted to those of the same ***.
3) "Saving" yourself for when you are married - abstinence only education - leaves out a proportion of adults who will be unable to get married except in a few states. Gay men and lesbians are not permitted to get married in almost every state. Are they supposed to stifle their sexual desires because our society fails to acknowledge that those in individuals in same *** relationship should be allowed the right to marry?

jnatemd, you are right, God does not punish for the things we do, we do it ourselves, if we put our finger in the meat grinder we know the consequences.. we get shorter fingers heheh.
I do believe in God, but like in every club there are weido''s... weido''s are not just limited to religion..

We must get real, there are consequences for our actions in everything, and sticking ones ??? up someone elses back ??? is not conducive to being healthy. Even after washing the smell, germs/viruses, and faeces stay in the pores and folds of the skin hrs after the act, collecting and giving as they go.. and that is not counting what they have digested and collected through using the tongue..

If you read up on the beginning of the AIDs epidemic, where it mainly started in San Fran,

Posted by tbweb

I read that it started in Africa among monkeys and was transmitted to humans. I''m not sure how, maybe someone was hungry and ate an infected monkey, or maybe someone practiced bestiality. Where would the virus have come from if it started in San Francisco?

And Bush is going to send 48 million to Africa to fight AIDS over there? It sounds like he should keep that money here doesn''t it. He''s an idiot. That makes 63 million dollars he has sent in the past year. What the heck is wrong with this man? And where does Obama stand with *** and AIDS. For or against. Oh yeah, I forgot, Marxist use homos against heteros as spiritual weapons to throw Christians off track and keep us tied up while Democrats pass more laws forcing American society to accept more perverted scumbags hiding in the shadows. Except in San Fran where they parade around in front of Nancy Pelosi in broad daylight.

God just tells you: "Don''''t do it. Homosexuality is a sin." he doesn''''t need nor desire to tell you why. Are you a child? Asking why all the time. Apparently so.

If Homosexuality is a sin, why did god create homosexuals? Is god then sinful?

It''''s a simple biological fact. The skin around the "back end" is much more delicate and prone to minute "tears" than around the vaginal area. This leaves more opportunity for virus transmission...end of story.

That is because the a n u s is designed for f e c e s elimination, not s e x u a l activity. However, if some choose to use it for s e x u a l activity, then I guess they get to take the consequences.

Having s * x is a choice whether one prefers someone of the opposite gender or same gender. It isn''t necessary to live like s 8 x u a l i t y is a compulsion over which there is no control. Information about safe s * X, condoms, saying, "No," and birth control when you aren''t sure of your potential partner''s status regarding STD''s are all options open to everyone. I know it isn''t "politically correct," to extoll a virtuous lifestyle, but just think of all the problems this society and every society on earth wouldn''t have if the majority of people would just choose to confine their s * x u a l activities to one committed partner. It just makes responsible sense no matter what religion, no religion, or gender choice.
