Unless the Viagra has been prescribed for Erectile dysfunction (or one of the other qualifying medical conditions) it would be being used Off Label.

I notice the article doesn''t mention the placebo effect. Even if it does nothing, athletes may improve their performance because they THINK it will work. The mind itself is a powerful drug.
