Gosh, I hope I dont'' see my rear on one of these photos for a story like this. How embarassing that would be.

I''m quite a bit smaller than the gal on the right. The gal on the left I''m sure was included for comparison to the gal in the middle.

Today''s pot is ten times stronger than it used to be in the sixties. Pot is also a very powerful appetite enhancer, (hence the munchies).

It''s ludicrous to think that pot is even remotely a cause of the general tendency for kids nowadays to be obese. It''s due to overeating, eating junk food and not getting enough exercise.

By the way, if pot is 10 times stronger, that means you only need to use one tenth as much to get high. It doesn''t mean you get 10 times higher today than you did in the 60s.

One reason that child obesity has tripled over the last ten years is because California and several other states have unleashed tens of thousands of pot growing drug dealers who primary targets are our kids.

Today''s pot is ten times stronger than it used to be in the sixties. Pot is also a very powerful appetite enhancer, (hence the munchies).

Today''s pot is so strong it is also greatly reducing the short-term memories and the learning abilities of our kids. Pot has become one of the largest threats to this nations educational system ever.

We have only started to understand all the problems that can come from quietly dumbing down and doping up our children. Pot growers are selling pot to 3rd and 4th graders now.

We need to see the lack of truth in this Med-Pot campaign and we need to get pot and all drugs out of our schools. For our kids health, educations and futures.

it''s probably just because the money''s running low, unfortunately. I''m sure if they can afford it, they''ll be stuffing their kids again, I think it''s just a symptom of lazy parenting. and Whoopi is on the View encouraging more women to stay fat, that is not healthy, don''t listen to that advice, it is not good to be lazy and fat and eating all the time and making your family and friends copy you

Perhaps gas prices are having the effect of less expendable income in kids pockets as well as fewer rides in the family SUVs to their destinations

I guess it is leveling off. Before long we won''t be able to afford to feed our kids all the junk food because we will be spending all our money putting gas in our cars to drive to the store. LOL :)

It is cheaper and healthier to buy the ingrediants and cook it yourself. We are a nation of fat people. Our children do not have gym classes like there used to be, and intramural sports.

Turn off the TV, eat junk food once a week and lay off the soda pop. Drink water and eat fresh fruit and veggies. Skim milk is best for all, switch over to it.

We are a bunch of tubs of lard!!!

Aspartame and MSG are what is causing the obesity problem.

---------

Much of it is caused by all the growth hormones injected into our livestock.

All the comments are true; the one problem is proper food manages to cost more than the cheap garbage that makes yon kiddies porky.

Take a perfectly healthy little child. Feed them McDonald''s or Burger King, KFC or Dominos, Hot Pockets, etc. four to five times per week, let them drink high fructose beverages. By all means buy them a DVD Player, Game Boy, Nintendo or Play Station. Park them in front of a computer and let them play on the internet or watch TV for four to six hours a day, and eliminate recess, gym and after school exercise. Now you%u2019ve got a heart attack waiting to happen. The All American Fast Food Diet and Inactivity = Obesity.

Recipe for Coca Cola: Take a 12 oz glass. Now, open a bottle of Karo corn syrup. Fill the glass half full. Now, add a tablespoon of vanilla, a tablespoon of caramel, a pinch of this and a pinch of that (that''s all secret) now top off with club soda, and refrigerate. That%u2019s why America is Obese. For Sunny D its about three to one corn syrup, citrus flavoring and yellow die No. 6. Cheers! We must ban high fructose corn syrup in our food supply. It%u2019s in everything!

I remember reading once a report on brain research that the brain works well at an optimal level. At too low of brain stimulation, such as when one is trying to continue to sit still listening to a lecture, the brain does not function at its best. At too high of stimulation, like stress, the brain also does not work at its best. The optimal level is somewhere in between.
Exercise, in between lectures, is very good to work off the unwanted hormones. As shown by how the students performed on their tests %u2013 up 23 points.
Why don%u2019t we adopt exercise at our work places? Many jobs require a lot of mental concentration. If work places had a few walking treadmills and a few stationary bicycles in a conference room or break room and employers allowed employees to periodically take an exercise break 2-3 times a day. I will bet their productivity would also increase 23 points, just like the students. In addition, employee%u2019s absenteeism and health care costs would also decrease.
