What they don''''t tell you is that most of the people who have this "deficit" are above average in intelligence.

"It might be cost-effective for employers to screen workers for ADHD and provide treatment, the researchers suggest. "

Oh yeah! wouldn''t it be great to label these people and have it follow them around on their work record.

ADHA is a man made epidemic caused by the crooked vaccination industry, the evil mafia which pumps poisons directly into the bloodstream of babies under six months of age.

Detractors posting in support of this draconian policy are themselves involved one way or another in the practice. These people should be regarded as terrorists.

I wish I had been less productive. Because I got no extra credit for being very good; apparently mediocre is good enough. Don''t burn yourselves out folks, it does not pay.

This is a perfect example of normal human behavior being dubbed an impairment so medicines can be developed and treatment regimens designed to prop up the revenues to the medical community. Could it even be possible that the Pilgrims had ADHD? How did they make it without the "pills"? How did Columbus and his crew get by without the "pills" and psychotherapy? How did humanity develop and make advances without the "pills"?

What a crock of garbage. People have all kinds of behaviors that they must contend with. The settlers came across the country in wagons, taking months and years of daily toil. Did they all attempt suicide regularly because of all the ridiculous unknown diagnoses they had? People today are looking for an easy way out of facing life so they are sitting ducks for these "quacks" who conjure up anything they can that can generate money for the medical machine. The drug companies have gotta love it. It makes me nuts!

Foul! what about screening for FAT people or tobacco users or alcoholics or single parents or people going through a divorce? What kind of ''science'' produces an article like this POS?

Why do I get the feeling that someone big is trying to mold humans into robots, even down to turning off thought and imagination?

Why is it so that "working" ever harder for someone else''s profit is the only thing that matters? Why are "X-treme" activities and other anti-pleasure activities encouraged, while pleasure is treated as an evil?

Someone should do a study on how many hours workers have lost due to increased workload for decreased pay.

Also, this study was apparently ''supported'' by a number of drug makers/pharmaceuticals who are pushing their products. Conflict of interest, don''t you think? I belive ADHD was the brainchild of the pharmaceutical industry to create something else to sell.

"The highest rate was for France, 6.3 percent, but the lost time was lower at 20.1 days."

Ok, but doesn''t most everyone in France take the entire month of August off? That''s in addition to any other vacation/personal/sick time they might have. In America, you''re lucky these days to have 2 weeks off in a year.

ADHD is affecting US workers productivity, which is the highest of any industrialized nation, according to reports. I was a ''daydreamer'' maybe I had undiagnosed ADHD before it was coined a medical/mental condition. I received no help. However, I made nearly all A''s throughout my academic career with no help, but I studied a lot, pulling my first all-nighter in middle school. I just worked hard, that''s all.

Kids with ADHA perform the same way in the classroom. Why isn''t somebody putting two and two together and providing appropriate support for these children and adults? ADHD has been a topic for discussion for almost 20 years or more to date, ADHD kids in my classroom are not getting any support from anyone, even when it is asked for. The education system just ignores the teachers request and parents refuse to treat their kids. ADHD is abusive towards the teacher and distracting for other students in the classroom and impedes students learning. It is selfishness to not do something about ADHD!
