We have good health system. The state ensures all citizens with good medical cares. We have problems with the conditions in the hospitals so you should pay if you want to be in a good hospital.

b-easy63: For you it''''s either the ideal system or nothing. Well, changes like this can only happen incrementally.

LOL. Actually, my overall suggestion is that we look before we leap. Think it through. Not just do our usual jump in like we did with the Iraq war and NAFTA and the Patriot Act and wiretapping. There will never be an "ideal system" but there can be one that addresses some of the things I bring up and thus prevent their occurence or abuse. That is what I have written over and over again--but to many--it just does not compute. Many behave like the pedestrian that needs a car, so rushes out, does no research and goes to Lucas''s lemon cars INc and buys the first "purty car" they see--only to get just a block away before it falls apart and stops running.

Is it soooo hard to think about potential ramifications? Is the emergency so dear--that even a few months of fierce deliberation and root cause scenarios not possible? We have existed for over 225 years without UHC, will it really hurt us to invest a few months post election--not in debates but in thinking? Because that is what my posts should do--help people to think and consider potential problems--and that, is not a bad thing at all--IMO.

Live and let live and 2.95 will buy a large latte at Starbucks. These criminals are reviewing their policy because they got hit back hard in court. That''s the only reason. And they need to be hurt far worse than that. Turn the other cheek if you want, but my favorite hero is Batman, and I''m ready to dish out some justice to these scum bags.

Any country that is going to start a universal health care system needs to do some researth first. Not all are the same. From what I have read here about England and others, I would have to say that Canada has a better system.

When you have anything that is private, they are able to do whatever they want and get away with it. The insurance companies can charge you high prices and they can cancel your insurance. There is no one holding the hospitals accountable for their care and cleanliness. The people have no say. The prices of your medications are sky high and you don''t even know if what it says they are is indeed whay you are getting.

Seems to me that those of you who are against the universal health care, it is because you don''t want the government controling everything. But isn''t that what is happening now? You aren''t being controlled by the government (at least not for this) but you are being controled by the insurance companies etc. Do you like having to worry about your insurance being cancelled? Do you like having to worry about maybe losing your house? Do you like having to deal with those insurance companies?

With the universal health care system, the government is the one making sure that these things don''t happen. Of course first you have to make sure you get in the right government. One that listens to it''s people. Because it is the PEOPLE that are making the decisions about what they want and don''t want.

That would make me worse than her. You need to rethink your perception of what GOD wants you to be like.

That would be a good start. And too,,, If people lived by the Motto,,,,Live and let live,,,this country would be a whole alot better place to live!

Not every country has the same kind of "universal" healthcare.

I disagree, my insurance company is great and I trust them, however, my state is highly regulated for insurance which sometimes is good but we pay high premiums here.
