...it does give me SOME comfort that I can be assured that, if for no other reason than their support for the mass murder of babies... most liberals will end up in hell where they belong...

ahhhh now I can sleep well tonight

Wow!!!I just came back to the computer and read the comments posted since I left. It is truly sad that we can never come together on this issue. It is so polarizing that there is no chance for that. But what bothers me the most is that those of you who label yourselves "christians" are so quick to condemn those of us who chose to have a different belief system. Just because we think in a different way does not make us monsters and hate mongers. I am like SgtRDS. I have a happy full life. I try to be kind and generous and most of all tolerant of others. I believe that there is good and evil and I believe that evil should be punished. One of you wrote that we sympathize with those who hate America and that we sympathize with murderers. What bunk! We are law abiding citizens who love our country and would be among the first to defend her. We don''t hate you. We just see things in a little different way. I could go on all night trying to get through to you but I know I will never be successful so I think I''ll make some pop corn and watch TV.

Also, I wanted to add that my cousin was advised to abort when she was expecting her second child because the doctor thought he saw a heart defect on the sonogram. He said the baby would be born handicapped and wouldn''t live to its first birthday. Paula decided to keep the baby and when Ellen was born, she had a heart defect, just like the doctor said, but she was taken to Cleveland Clinic for surgery and Ellen is now a bright, active and wonderful six year old. If Paula and her husband had opted for abortion without exploring other avenues, Ellen would have never been born and she wouldn''t light up a room with her happy, intelligent, beautiful presence like she does now. Abortion should be a last resort, not a first reaction to trying circumstances. I can''t help but believe that if we as a society valued children more and were more compassionate with people, abortion would be rare. I hate abortion for the same reason I hate capital punishment--it sends the message that human beings are disposable.

Why is it that conservatives are called freakevagicals, neocons, Jesus freaks, war mongers...etc.

Posted by Klingon69 at 07:49 PM : Jan 21, 2008

Not all of them are called those things, but some do fit the names. For instance neocon is just a shortened version of neoconservative, which is a name neoconservatives named themselves. It only became an insult when they started doing insulting things, like war mongering.

I''m sure your friends are kind people. I''m sure they think they are being supportive and compassionate when they strongly advise patients to have abortions. I''ve gone to an abortion clinic with a friend, a planned parenthood-sponsored facility, and although they used compassionate words and attitudes, there was still a lot of pressure to end the pregnancy. The first words out of their mouth were, "This doesn''t have to ruin your life. We will take care of this today and you won''t ever have to think about it again." They didn''t even let her have a moment to think, they automatically defaulted to termination. She said she wanted to think about it and they urged her not to think about it, just to do it and get it over with. She was like a prisoner in that place, and when we tried to leave the staff escorted me out of the room. She was "counseled" for almost two hours, with teams of counselors advising her to terminate. She ended up having the abortion and she cried because she really hadn''t been sure that''s what she wanted to do. I was pro-abortion until then.

Unfortunately, although many women don''t go through something like that, they are pressured in other ways to believe that terminating is the only way to keep from ruining their lives. I don''t really understand how a stranger can make that decision for any woman.

Yeah I know! It''s disgusting isn''t it. We used to be able to go out on a saturday night, put on our hoods and sheets and have some fun stringing people up because of the color of their skin. Then along come those Liberals, passing laws and the like. It''s disgusting!! My pal down in Kentucky told me about when he was in school.. the Church Lady came by every week to teach them why "Equal but different" was the word of God and how the 10 commandments weren''t meant for Inferior Races! Then along come those ugly old Liberals and made them stop. How dare them!! ROFLMAO Sieg Heil and Amen
