your *** is in my peanut butter! your peanut butter is in my ***!...two great tastes...blah, blah, blah, blah...

salmonella is caused by bacteria in fecal matter getting into your food or peanut butter in this case...maybe they're using the same cow *** to fertilize peanut crops that they used in california and the "tainted" lettuce...or maybe some mexicans are mad and poo pooed in our peanut butter...

either way, throw it out or take it back to your store for an exchange of another bran...i have eaten peter pan for 37 yrs, i remember munching on peanut butter and jelly crackers while watching winnie the pooh on the boobtube...ahhh the memories!

btw, thanks cbs for showing terrorists just how easy it would be to kill us through our food supply! THANKS!

I guess you think everyone is dumb enough to go on this website. Tell that to my 6 year old son who loves to eat Peanut Butter and Fluff for lunch. I saw this tonight on the news and was horrified because I had the jar of PB that had those numbers on it and he has been sick with diarrhea, loss of appetite and stomach pain. Thanks to CBS I would still have this jar in my pantry and letting my 6 year old just eat it till it was gone. Maybe people commenting should think of someone other than themselves and should have better things to do than just ridicule others.

Make em pay, that's the only way they'll ever start to change, is if it costs them.

Trouble is THEY don't pay, their product liability INSURANCE companies pay, that means YOU pay in the end when your car, home and medical insurance premiums all go up

What is wrong with all of these people who right away think they can squeeze some money out of a company for a couple boughts of vomitting and diarrhea? Oh, I know they must of done this on purpose right?

In a way YES, they did- to max their profits these maga corps cut corners, overlook a plethora of safety, health and OSHA violations, they hire immigrants and people with little skills and who don't give a *** about anything other than their paycheck. Food falls on the floor at the plant? who cares? toss it back up on the conveyor. Last day at the plant and hate the company? hey, toss your last meal or whatever into the vat when no one is looking.

Only way to make these companies care is threaten their livelyhood.

Eat some and save your stool sample, easy lawsuit against Con Agra... I just ate some of this peanut butter again last night and if I get sick again, I'll be saving a sample and going to the doctor this time. Make em pay, that's the only way they'll ever start to change, is if it costs them.

Ok, I have two jars of this peter pan salmonella butter. I spent the first day of the year on the toilet and I spent a day about a week ago so sick I couldn't work. I just had my last peanut butter sandwich last night and if I get sick again they're going to pay.

Im 16, so food goes fast, i just cant beleive i ate almost the whole jar! Sometimes I eat it plain or on bread with jelly to make that famous penut butter-jelly sandwitch. But, When I read this article, I ran to my kitchen to cheak my jar and to my surprise the code 2111 was on it. I dont care if it taste good, its in the garbage now!

st made a big batch of hay stacks for my 9 year old daughter's school valentine party, I'm very happy to have heard this before sending them to school with her. I have had salmonella a few years ago, and I wouldn't wish the sickness and the cramps on my husbands x-wife (ok maybe I would). And I hope I don't get it again. I feel to all who have it.
