What makes this so ironic is that if US as the superpower of the world says anything bad about Israel, we're could be seeing a change in government and it would make the US very weak politically. Simply because majority of the senates are controlled by jewish lobbyist. Mr. President will chicken out once confronted by the jewish group in our own country and that's not a very good thing. How are we gonna look after our own interest if this is not being addressed soon? I say we take a firm stand in this once and for all. Are we really prepared to damage our reputation and respect among our allies in order to bail out our so called 'ally' in the middle east? I just hope that this president do have the balls to do what is right.
A differnet method could have been used but Israel knows the only way that the Palestinians seem to understand all to well is by force. By using force they achieved two things with one objective but he key to this whole thing is Iran and one day Israel will have to act upon Iran before they do otherwise they wait for thier own demise.
The hypocrisy of the criticism of Israel has reached the obscene. Israel tries to protect its citizens from the Hamas government who has sworn never to make peace with Israel and whose stated objective is to destroy Israel and replace it with an Islamic state. It is part of a movement including Hezbollah who also publicly admits to not only wanting to destroy Israel but commit genocide of the Jewish people worldwide. The world organization of the Muslim Brotherhood supports Hezbollah and Hamas using violence against Israel and the Jewish people. The United Nations and world press sits in silence. Where is the outcry against the Hamas agenda? This is the real international crime against humanity.
Israel left Gaza completely and dismantled settlements for peace and in return this is what they got. Whether it is hiding among civil population in wars, sending suicide bombers or sending people in boats, their aim is clear. Weaken international support for Israel and thereby hasten the defeat of Israel. We are all pawns in a war being waged by Islamic extremists.
The elephant in the room is the Arab religious Islamic war (now including fundamentalist terror) to destroy the Jewish State of Israel and that has prevented peace and the creation of a Palestinian State for 62 years and continues today by Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood. Don?t kid yourselves. Western democracies are in their targets.
The press has to speak out about the agenda and crimes of Hamas against Israel, Jews, Palestinians in search of peace and all those who support peace. Not against Israel trying to defend its citizens.
Yours is the same, and I do mean the same story line we have heard for decades: for the sake of Israel's protection the world must endure witnessing the horrors Israel commits. Futuristic, hypothetical conjecture as an excuse to commit the worse autrosities witnessed by man since Hitler's ethnic cleansing of the European Jews.
Israel should not have boarded the ship. Instead it could have blown the ships out of the water. Or, it could mine the harbor and let the ships enter at their own risk. Either method would have been effective without risking the lives of the commandos.
