If the UK stops Assange from heading to Ecuador, it will place every one of our spies around the world in jeopardy. When one of our spies are caught in an unfriendly country, diplomatic immunity will no longer apply. I seriously doubt the UK has the balls to set that kind of precedent.

If this was about sexual assault or rape the UK wouldn't be surrounding an embassy and threatening to break numerous international laws and treaties. That should tell you all you need to know about this case. It has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with his work on WikiLeaks.

Governments will stop at nothing to carry out their secret agendas, wikileaks stopped at nothing to bring transparency to this corrupt world. I have to say the odds are against wikileaks but they are doing the right thing.

You are 100% correct, sdkeller72. The REAL crimes are being perpetrated upon Assange.

Just keep one thing clearly, clearly in mind. This is no longer about wikilieaks nor about anyone's life being at risk. It is about Hillary Clinton's ego, her feathers being ruffled and her personal revenge against Manning and Assange making her look like a fool. She is demonstrating her power and her true diplomatic qualities.

I am sure that during WWII the Nazis would have been after a reporter who was reporting on the Death Camps and the crimes against humanity that were taking place there too!

Julian Assange is a hero who exposed a war over false pretenses killing hundreds of thousands so that the rich oil barons and other industrial war complexes could make a fortune off the killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians to exploit another country's resources.

The apparent war criminals; Blair, Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should be on trial and in prison not someone reporting on the facts of the slaughtering of people for financial gain!

www.youtube, wikileaks, collateral murder iraq; (watch the 18 min version). See what kind of war crimes were taking place in Iraq as a reporter with a camera crew were shot and killed with civilians and also see children shot!

For what; control of the Iraqi Oil by Hunt Oil who gave millions upon millions to the Bush Library and was on the board of Halliburton, etc. Halliburton who did not have to bid for all the services they provided during the Iraqi and Afghanistan Wars; follow the money and see the apparent War Crimes.

Thank you Julian Assange and US Soldier;Pfc. Bradley Manning who reported and exposed some of the apparent war crimes and criminal activity the USA was involved in. We should be ashamed that those that speak out against War Crimes are the people being sought for criminal activities rather than the War Criminals!

Drone strikes are being planned in case Assange tries to make a run for it. The U.S. war on drugs is being exposed as a scam affecting all of South America. The house of cards is crashing to the ground and the U.S. is being revealed as the bully of the world.

Governments, especially the US, are too secretive. It should not be a crime to expose wrongdoing. Inconvenient truths are fair game. I feel the same way about the Vatican leaks. The crime in both instances seems to the telling, not the doing. There's something very wrong with this picture. If the US is torturing and killing in our name, shouldn't we at least know about it? I love my country, but some in government want to do what they do with impunity; that's what this is really about. We need Wikileaks.

How can he be extradited if there are are no charges filed against him? I have pointed this out before. There is no way he could have obtained all those documents on his own.

He is being charged with Sex/Rape, how can he pick Ecuador Embassy for his criminal asylum ? Ecuador did a wrong thing to allow him to get out of the UK country. Totally a wrong decision from Ecuador.

The minute that @$$hole steps out into the street, the British cops should grab him, take him into custody and extradite him to the United States. Sweden should then get him only after he is tried, and if found guilty in the United States, serves his prison time.

what do you expect him to be found guilty of in the US - reporting inconvenient truths? Is that now a crime?

It is against US law to reveal corruption by US government officials (example: state department cables).

It is against US law to reveal child prostitution by US defense contractors and US defense corporations (example: us defense contractors providing little boys to Afghan militants for their support). Would you like that if it was your little boy that was delivered to militants for sex?

If it's stolen from the US Military, yes it's a crime. And the little traitor that swiped the info is going to face a military trial for it. Where have you been that you didn't know this?

The US has not asked Britain for his extradition, because they legally cannot. Sweden has asked and won the right to extradite for trumped up sex charges, but it is expected the US will make a grab for Assange if he is sent to Sweden. As for the cops grabbing him in Britain when he steps onto the street, they have refused to allow him safe passage out of the UK and he cannot leave the embassy. Nice job Britain, what a mess and all to silence a publisher of facts the public have the right to know.

Who cares if it is against US laws... he isn't a US citizen so he doesn't have to follow them... US laws are only for US citizens, they aren't the masters of earth
