Why alcohol prohibition fail and drug prohibition persists.
Because the violence, crime, and death caused by alcohol prohibition was visited upon North Americans right here in the good old USA and Canada. Whereas the violence, crime, and death caused by drug prohibition is endured by South Americans and Mexicans who are viewed as lesser persons to us therefore their suffering and death is justified.
Are there more drug cartel murdering chit heads than honest men in Mexico? Why can't the Honest Mexicans solve their own problems? And I want that dam "electric fence built. Of course the wessels would build tunnels under the fences. It pisses me off that this country can't out fox those slime balls. And hire chit more border patrol. We want to help everyone in the world but not US citizens. I suppot Arizona what they are doing. If a mexican doest have green card when pulled over, oh well, send their ***** back to mexico. If us citizens have to show drivers license, proof of insurance and registration when pulled over then mex;s should have to show green card, I say when they're caught, put em in a plane, fly em back to medico, strap parachute on them then throw their ***** out the plane. Creates more jobs for us; we'd have to build mexican prisons, more airplanes and hire chit load of law enforcement. Jobs for us and no more stinkin illegal aliens.
For 50 years, US decision makers have avoided making the hard choices on drugs.
1. Legalize drugs. The REAL problem is demand not supply.
2. Kill all the bad guys without due process. Yes, we have the capability to kill them if we don't care about human rights.
Unfortunately, these are both very bad choices since officials would not be reelected. Hence, US politicians/decision makers make no choice and the problem worsens.
