Islam must be an extremely weak form of religion/government (yes, Islam rules many mid-Eastern countries) to be so threatened by kids who identify as "emo".

Or perhaps they fear not being "masculine" enough.

Weak and very sad to kill kids with cement blocks.

Time reported in 2008 that "anti-emo" groups attacked teenagers in Mexico City, Queretaro, and Tijuana.
In Russia, a law was presented at the Duma to regulate emo websites and forbid emo style at schools and government buildings, for fears of emo being a "dangerous teen trend" promoting anti-social behaviour, depression, social withdrawal and even suicide. There are fanatics in every society who react violently against alien influence, we need to create awareness and understanding to make things better. Even the Emo kids need some guidance.
At present people in the war-zones are extremely volatile and anything that resembles the lifestyle/culture of the occupying forces becomes the target of anger.
It is ironic that the victims of atrocities are indulging in brutal acts, there could be civilized approach to find a solution.

Obama needs to stop appeasing Islam. America stands for justice, human rights and freedom. Bush and Obama both assumed attitudes of concession, surrender and appeasement towards this backward religion. Of course It isn't working, as those with an understanding of Islam predicted from the start. We need to stand firm in our values not take on theirs. Burning a Koran or criticizing Islam is protected as freedom of speech. Are we going to give up our freedom to appease people who stone young men and women to death because they are, or even appear to be, gay or commit the horrible sin of falling in love with the wrong person? If it was Catholics killing gays, you know all the self-righteous moralizing Liberals would be beside themselves with outrage, as would be the media. But Islam gets a free pass! Liberals don't seem to be at all bothered by their own double standards. They blind themselves in order to avoid the feelings of cognitive dissonance.

never heard of emo, didn't know they existed anywhere. it sounds like they are just gay going with another label whether here or abroad. the USA has left iraq in a mess. afghanistan also a mess. the USA interfered in libya and that is a mess. bush and obama are both responsible. why obama? well obama could have withdrawn all troops from iraq and afghanistan by the end of his second year office very easily as he is cic. obama could have stayed out of libya's civil war but didn't, his direct choice.

Really? "Never heard of emo"? It's an entire genre of music and has nothing to do with sexuality. Regardless of whether the US has left everything a mess (which I agree with), kids wearing a certain style of clothing or hair associated with a type of popular music has nothing to do with the US to the point where Iraqis should be in any way hurt for their choice of dress (or their perceived - or actual - sexuality for that matter). We are living in the 21st century.

To think of ALL the Hundreds and Hundreds of Billions we threw away in Iraq...here's the result. We could have used that money at home for our own people. What a waste!!!

[A Feb. 18 police report all but closes the case on Saif's killing. It shows an initial investigation was completed and "the reason for the incident is unknown at the moment because the criminal is unknown]
-----------------------------------------
this makes sense ... when you don't know the source of the criminal act ... and you don't know the motive ... close the case.

maybe when the killers come forward and explains themselves they can solve the case.

that's some crack investigative team they have there in iraq.

My question is why do you believe in God? Why?
I Just don't buy it myself.
What makes you believe? You are lying if you say you don't have doubts. And if you have doubts, then you don't really believe.
Do you force yourself to try to believe because of fear? Peer pressure? What is it? Just a need to understand how you are here?

The reason that I believe in God is that They (the Trinitarian Godhead) sent JC (the Son within this Trinitarian Godhead) to earth and he suffered the very same thing from the religious ultra-right. He was not killed with cement blocks but rather crucifixion (a merciless killing). Those who are killed with cement blocks die relatively quickly. JC did not have that luxury.

Like this isn't done here in America? Gay kids go missing on a regular basis in America and are just assumed to have 'run away' because they were ashamed that they were gay.

My best guess is the individuals who have always conformed, and who enforce these measures the most, are the ones having the greatest desire for sex with members of their own sex.
Their aggression is caused by their repression of their own desires.
Just like it is in western society, Macho professions are full of homosexuals.
