I can't laugh anymore at this type of behavior of the country. All of this was suppose to change at the election, instead its dockers and business as usual and the bonuses are still going out. A hundred million dollar bonus, please, the poker game is over.
Look back at the Vietnam debacle. The U.S. government insisted that if we didn't napalm them in their villages... we'd have to bayonet them on our beaches. 58,000 corpses later, American banksters are setting up shop in Ho Chi Minh City. . War is a racket.. pure and simple. The poor and the patriotic die in them while the politicians weep crocodile tears on Memorial Day and the war profiteers line their grimy pockets. . May God ease the hellfire on these departed souls of crusaders, and those who will depart soon, and on those -soon-to-be-soul- sympathizers and supporters of war and destruction on people of the mudhouses..........
We don't defend ourselves or destroy threats against this country according to being "wanted".....or "needed"....we will destroy any and all threats regardless of their wants and needs

Looks like the Taliban aren't equal to the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong. And the US can't eradicate the Poppy Fields? I'm only suggesting that something seems odd here. I respect the soldiers but there doesn't seem to be much resistance.

I find it sad when we belittle the sacrifice made by these men, with political views / commentaries expressed by posters...surely, we all have better venues to do this.
It's sad, when Bush was in office, every death was head line news across the country and there was a daily update in the body count, now, hardly a word is said.
Aj, Did you hear that the administration is stopping all news about body counts....sorry, I don't remember where I read the article about the change in policy, but I do notice that the "Fifth Column" (the media) hardly says a word, except "deadliest month"....Also, remember the story about photos of coffins ? not one photo, when Obama is in office
