It's not an issue about conservatives, it's about Americans. You have an immediate aggressive reaction against anyone who isn't American. Why is that?

True. I wonder how many people on here would agree with the idea of nuking Russia/Iran/North Korea/France/anywhere else they know nothing about but seems to be un-American.

The conservatives are particularly funny, when it comes to Iran.

When McCain was singing "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran", they were all lining up in lock step, telling us how Iran was the "enemy", they all needed to be nuked, they all wanted to kill every American, they wanted to convert us to Islam, etc, etc, etc.

Then Iran had their election, and all of these conservatives suddenly were very sympathetic to the Iranians cause, they wanted Obama to intervene, they felt the UN wasn't doing enough to help out, etc, etc, etc.

My point is, they don't know WHO to like / love / hate, unless they are TOLD who they are supposed to like / love / hate.

Yet they consider themselves "foreign policy experts"?!?!

Hungry,

Where in the world do you come up with this stuff ?

You obviously have Bush Derangement syndrome
by IrishWench01 July 6, 2009 11:04 AM EDT
People like that just love to hate. It doesn't really matter who or why or even if their animosity is consistant. Its all about spewing the venom.
by hower4 July 6, 2009 12:20 PM EDT
I assume you mean Americans spewing their venom (and their missiles) on the rest of the world, don't you?

Here's a question....... If you wanted to vote for a President who wouldn't spend YOUR money as if it was their own, who is there?

These boards are FILLED with conservatives.

More often than not, comments like yours are SERIOUS!

It's impossible to read 'sarcasm' on these boards.

You're on the receiving end of sarcasm (and who knows what else) every day. Might as well get used to it.
by nolies74621 July 6, 2009 8:52 AM EDT
Is'nt that what Obama has been doing since day 1, predicting his policies will save the country and the world before they are put into action. The mark of a true egotistical masochist.

What the hell do you think politicians are there for?...... It's to take as much as much of your money as possible and then escape any consequences. The Bush family was massively successful, but Obama is already showing signs of being pretty good too!

The Cold War is NOT over unless you like to ignore the signs.

All a bunch of ex-KGB men running things and hoping to have a comeback of the "good old days "

It should be all of our concerns because you and I are paying for them to travel with the TOTUS. If I do remember niether Clinton nor Bush took the whole fam damily on every trip that they took.

I agree somewhat. But you have to admit CBS coddles, and protects the TOTUS. They actually promote his policies. They can never take a unbiased look at his policies. CBS is more of a BHO sales team instead of an unbiased News corporation with an honest, ethical view on how the country is bieng destroyed by one mans expensive agenda. Tell you what think about how wonderful he is again in 1 year.

Anybody notice there were no comments about cheering - adoring - jubilant - Russians greeting the family at the airport? Where are those adoring hopeful crowds that the world sends to the feet of the US President? Where have they gone? Is there no Michelle clothier and shoe worshippers? What is wrong with those Russians?

Will Obama's visit to Moscow make much difference?

If it can reduce our nuclear arsenals by hundreds or perhaps thousands of nuclear weapons, I'd call it a grand success. If the visit can improve the relations and cooperation between our nations in foreign affairs, technology, science, energy, or any other of our vital interests, it has been a successful visit.

What is important is what is good for our country. Even small areas of cooperation between our nations can create tremendous benefits and savings to our nations. For example, the reductions in nuclear weapons alone would save us untold billions of dollars.

As long as Obama does not suddenly turn into George Bush or Dick Cheney, this visit to Moscow will be a great success that will save our nation billions of dollars, and it will improve our relations dramatically.

Why does he take the whole family with him everytime he flies around? Is every trip a vacation or something?
