All of the World's ladies are beautiful> Now that we have that settled let us get on with business. Freedom is not what You have but what You allow others to have. First basic principle of Freedom; Freedom means to not fear reprisal for your thoughts, words and beliefs. That having been said "Who" in Iran wants "Freedom"? Freedom is a fickle soulmate, her price is paid in "Blood". All Free Nations have paid that price and continue to pay. Now I ask, Who in Iran wants Freedom? and Who in Iran is willing to pay the price? When the answer to both is "Everyone", "Most Everyone" will do, then Iran will be "Free".

About the only sensible thing I've read so far. To think there are those in America dreaming and trying to take our guns so that we too will be more "obediant"

Like it or not... any government... Iran included... cannot allow itself to be forced by mob rule... into holding *new* elections every time the mob is unhappy with the results.
.
We wouldn't allow that here in America, and we can't expect Iran to allow it.
.
As long as we keep our nose out of it.. the Iranian people will sort it all out.

Although I would have stated it differently, you have the right idea in the paragraph that begins, "The idiotic idea.......".

With all of its great faults and great attributes, America remains the best place on God's green earth. We will solve our problems, we always do.

God Bless the USA and the Irainian people fighting for their right to chose their own government.

God Speed....

His rejection of the presidential election results is in defiance of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who has effectively declared President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the winner of the June 12 vote and ordered an end to protests. Mousavi didn't mention Khamenei by name in the letter, or say whether he supported ongoing street protests.
-----------------------------------------------------
Khomeini blew an excellent chance to end this nightmare Friday by ordering a new election with independent monitors. If Ahmadinejad has won the original election by such a wide margain, he would have had little trouble winning the second one.

Before Friday, the whole issue was an election. Now, the people of Iran will not stop until the overthrow the entire system of government which gives supreme power to Khomeini. Good for them...

I am very curious about one thing. In the 1979 revolution, the security forces were won over by the people. That was the major reason the Shah had to go into exile. In this one, it seems to be taking longer for the same thing to happen. Something must have happened in 1979 to cause the security forces to abandon the Shah. Hope it happens again very soon.

We must not interfere with the Iranian people's destiny. But if they should choose to take their country back, we must welcome Iran back into the Free World and provide whatever assistance we can (and only as they request from us) to help them recover.
