THEY ARE "CHOOSING" THE ONE THAT AMERICA HAS GIVEN HINTS IT LIKES. THEY BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE AMERICA LIKES HIM THE SANCTIONS WILL BE STOPPED.

- LOLOLOL.......YEA YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN....it is really the case that too few people, with too much power have pretty much seized the nation...but you know there are also weaknesses here in our own nation...i mean i will not name names but frankly I live in New York and I know a little something about how some people come here from other nations and literally brain wash our own kids!!! I mean they brain wash them into thinking that their cause is the cause of these American children, and I have to ask myself how can this happen how can it possibly be that people here have so little care for what their own lives mean? A lot of these people have money, many even affluent, yet, they seem to be completely out of touch with their own family, their nation, their community....the degeneration is a lot deeper than we think frankly, its right in our own face...its that serious...somewhere we have to look into the mirror and ask some serious questions about what we really want for our nation, and for our world, and for our children and for ourselves...this is the most out of touch generation in the history of the united states i think. THIS IS THE REAL REASON WE ARE SO COMPROMISED...NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE ABOUT OUR OWN PEOPLE...ITS LIKE THE FOREIGNERS ACROSS THE SEA ARE MORE PROFITABLE THAN OUR OWN!!!WE HAVE LOST ALL PERSPECTIVE ON WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT HERE. ERGO OUR PROBLEMS.

- This is what we should have done especially in 2004 in our own country. Read Robert Kennedy Jr's article on what happened in Ohio as reported on Rolling Stone magazine. For the curious, you will see that this country has been trashed by the greedy and evil leaders this whole decade. And we are suffering from it right now. The mainstream corporate lies media still has not reported what is being reported in more democratic countries about how the NSA was tracking Clinton emails under orders from Bush, nor so many other topics that you all need to dig around for such as how during the Republican convention recently, they used surveillance methods (which should be illegal) to enter in peaceful protestor homes and arrest them BEFORE they protested. This in a land that supposedly respects peaceful protest. I'm still waiting on Obama to deliver his change and undo the Hitleresque bush laws: remove the Military Commissions act, restore Habeaus Corpus a basic democratic right to not being held indefinitely without cause, to restrict surveillance as everyone knows ordinary american dissidents that are pro democracy and non violent that are being targeted (some of whom cannot travel easily), and to undo portions of the Patriot act, so long and complicated a document that many congressmen could not even look at it as it was presented so shortly after 9/11. Not to mention the fact that we need a new press. This current trash and lies, and uniformal ommissions press that we have is approaching the ministry of truth. Not even being able to see our own dead, the dead children in gaza, stories of Carter going to gaza and saying that they were treated "like animals" by the Israelis with our military support, or that Human rights organizations have condemned israel affects public opinion. Instead we hear about the dangers of this center right Obama who seems to be trying to fix the mess left to us by these corporate lackeys that value profits and money over people and decency. PS. Also, no coverage on private health insurers saying they will refuse to limit the instances of canceling policies for people that get diagnoses that require expensive treatment. Shameful for a so-called democracy. We too have much to learn about making our own powerful accountable.

- A week ago, Americans were pontificating as to how Iranians should be "nuked" because they expressed anti-Israel sentiments... Today, the dumbed-down American press and people are comparing the Iranians to the patriots of 1776.

In recent times, there have been many peaceful manifestations in Mexico protesting against the social unrest brought on by the drug cartel wrongdoings, violent crimes and kidnappings. Let's hope they stay that way, but things do tend to get out of hand.

- Veering off to a different country, but on the same subject, is the possibility of Mexico similarly demonstrating and protesting in large masses after the upcoming national elections results are announced, next Cinco de Julio. Imitation of recent social trends is commonplace.

- The American couch potato needs to learn form others (Ukraine, and now Iran) what it means to take back one's country from the corruption and fraud bestowed upon them by unscrupulous thieves known as the Republicon Fascist Party. If the American couch potato had hit the streets after the US Supreme's appointed their fellow conservative GW Bush to the presidency in December, 2000, 9/11 would have been avoided, as well as today's Great Recession.

- 9/11 was planned starting in 1998, it was directed against Clinton/Gore. Nobody knew Bush would be President at that time. The US was taken to be a patsy after it failed to respond to the Khobar Towers Bombing, the USS Cole etc. Clinton and Gore set bin Laden free after he was detained in the Sudan.
Clinton/Gore pussyfitted around with Saddam for 8 yrs while millions died. At least Bush just hung the guy.
Bush was a bad president, and did much damage to our country. Whhat we needed was someone of competence and experience to follow him. Instead we have the neophyte, Obama to compound our woes.

- Look at what has befallen our country since the Dems took control in Jan 2007. Does anyone thing they are better off now than when Pelosi declared "There's a New Sheriff in town" back at that time? Of course not!
Since the Dems took control unemployment has more than doubled, the stock market has lost 40% of its value, the federal deficit has ballooned by 2.5 TRILLION dollars and our homes have lost 25% of their value. Our financial system and our automakers have been nationalized and our wars have expanded.
Oh..AND we became one of the world's "leading MUSLIM NATIONS"! Go dems!!! LOL
