My first impression given the time lag for political and video responses would place Osama bin Ladin in Yemen with access to air, naval and land routes to Mecca and
the rest of the world for his 3rd person communications links to Pakistan and to the
West through Quatar and Barain....No. 2 in Pakistan may be simulating signals for
Osama to be in Pakistan....while he is actually in Yemen....

Do the same connections that existed for his escape from Bora Bora in Afghanistan to Pakistan remain in place?

Do you suspect that Bin Ladin's options have been planned in advance and his route of exparture has been expanded to include sources we have not detected: a sleeper cell activated only in the last option for escape? A Pakistani Intelligence rogue group or business transportation contact that was recruited before 9/11 and maintains its readiness?

It will probably take a chance encounter with a Pakistani officer who survives the contact to shoot everyone in front of him lest he be killed for the knowledge of Osama's presence.
THAT is the kind of battlefield chance we are looking for....there are no turncoats in Al Quaeda that will refuse a 50M bribe and allow a Pakistani to live that learns Osama is alive and right in front of him.
