- There is no moral equivalence between a secular America with individual liberties and an ethnocentric theocracy. If she was a spy and obtained valuable information on behalf of the USA, we should applaud her. It shows more courage than a CBSNEWS blogger who can merely rant his celibate Saturday night into oblivion: Sorry, bookstore is closing in five minutes ... Oh, OK, I'll just go online now -- complain about foreign policy ...

you didn't read the story did you? "she did so while working as a freelance translator two years ago for the Expediency Council, a powerful clerical body in Iran's government. "....... she took a copy of a bulletin TWO YEARS AGO? and held onto it for some unknown reason, and you equate that to US espionage and hanging her out to dry?.....does it really make sense to you? If an intelligence agency wanted that document wouldn't you think they would have picked it up a couple of years ago? - Reply to this comment
- How can we help frightened people like guyfrompa45 stop being frightened and reactionary. They become illogical and dangerous through their fear (just like the Bush Crime Family and their GOP cronies like it).

- I would be tempted to take the word of Iran, not the US based on our tragic actions and known history of subversive activities overseas. As usual you can blame the US for putting people in harms way and their masters, the AIPAC lobby.

- I'm sure all those incarcerated are innocent victims of over-zealous arresting, or possibly only guilty of a minor offense like jay-walking or some other type of non-threatening charge?

- America is holding thousands of people for years in Gitmo, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere with no evidence whatsoever.
How do you think that difference is seen in the Muslim world?
