North Korea exists only because of the backing of China. I would give China the option of either continued support for North Korea or continued trade with the United States. They cannot have both. North Korea will saber rattle, but their ability to sustain any long term damage is minimal. They can neither feed their troops or keep them supplied with munitions for a long term military campaign. Unfortunately South Korea would bear the most damage from the initial attack, but eventually the North would lose and the peninsula could be merged under South Korean rule. China would much rather have a neighbor that would help it economically than a sewer draining its resources.

What makes you think the U.S. is in a position to give the Chinese an ultimatum over NK?

The article suggests that NK will soon be able to target Alaska, Sarah Palin automatically comes to mind. How is being,"obsessed", with her?

I thought it was a fair question. CBS thought otherwise as they deleted it.

So when do we nuke NK? Oh, we can't becuase their communist big brothers in China own us.

Sorry Taiwan, ya'll are on your own.

North korea must keep making those nuclear weapons for defense purposes and if needed it must use them in a way that will change the USA evil foreign policy forever.

If NK uses their nukes, the only thing that will change is the landscape of North Korea - from a mountanous region to a glass covered parking lot. The only other one hurt by NK won't be America, it will be South Korea. Without the American "tripwire" in the South, NK would invade and turn SK into a destitute, starving nation, just like NK is now.

When Sarah Palin sees Russia light up she'll know its time to duck and cover.

Who needs NORAD? Sarah Palin is the new Chuck Norris!

The USA is deeply terrorist, It has no business in the korean penisula, or in asia.

the USA is actually the real problem in asia, it is occupying south korea and japan and it is trying to export prostitution and the gay disease to north korea and china.

The USA must pull all it troops out of asia, If north korea which as a weaker economy to south korea and japan can have it own army without foreign occupation it mean South korea and japan can have their own army without the USA clearly evil presence.

North korea must keep making those nuclear weapons for defense purposes and if needed it must use them in a way that will change the USA evil foreign policy forever.

Only a loon like Kim Jong-il would even consider using a nuke, knowing full well his nation would be obliterated if were to ever do so.
