Israeli Truce Negotiator To Head To Egypt As Israeli Forces Push Into Gaza City
- We can''''t afford it. And it''''s used to subvert the will of the people. - Posted by twoctruth
We can give ballout money in ammounts of $700 billion to Wall street and $300 billion to the big three auto makers, but $2.4 billion to Israel is going to break the bank?
Subvert the will of which people?
390 to 5
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. House of Representatives voted Friday on a resolution "recognizing Israel''''s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza," Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday. The resolution was passed 390 to 5.
Introduced by Pelosi and House Minority Leader John Boehner, the nonbinding vote came on the 14th day of an air and ground assault on the Palestinian territory. Israel says it is aimed at halting the firing of rockets into Israel by Hamas militants.
The resolution''s language condemns Hamas, which Israel and the United States consider a terrorist organization, for the rocket attacks and "for deliberately embedding its fighters, leaders and weapons in private homes, schools, mosques, hospitals and otherwise using Palestinian civilians as human shields." - Reply to this comment

Why are the people of the West Bank not firing rockets?
Why is the Arab League blaming Hamas and calling on all Palistinians to unite with one voice under Fatah?
Why will no nation except Iran recognize Hamas?

- Are we supposed to thank Israel for stealing from those people, starving them, labeling them terrorists, and then killing their children???
Certainly, they should be despised by people of all religions and nationalities for the atrocities they perpetrate on defenseless palestinians. They have earned Hate - we can no longer afford to be indifferent.
There is no excuse.

No thank you is necessary. Just surrender, peace, disarming, and turning over their leadership to Israel. These are choices the Palestinians must make. - Reply to this comment
- Israel and the Palestinians (Fatah) have agreed to have a two state settlement and co-exist in peace. It is Hamas that does not want peace with Israel under any condition. You either are a bigot or idiot to support Hamas. Hamas, Taliban, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda and Iran are extreme fundamental Islamists wanting to impose their beliefs on infidels and turn countries into fundamentalist Islamic theocracies using the conquest of Israel as a stepping stone. Israel is not fighting the Palestinians just like the USA and its allies are not fighting the Iraqi%u2019s or the people of Afghanistan. These Islamic groups use women and children as suicide bombers to blow up fellow Arabs in Iraq and Afghanistan. In Gaza they calculated to sacrifice fellow Palestinians for the cause by attacking Israel with rockets knowing Israel will have to respond then use women and children as human shields. Hamas should be prosecuted by an international war crimes tribunal for crimes against humanity for their rockets being fired into Israel that caused this war and the innocent civilian deaths, their suicide bombing of innocent civilians and their ideology of violence that is a threat to world peace.

I guess we can take it by your post that you have a hatred of Israel. Hate is a bad thing. It leads to stress, which leads to all kinds of physical ailments. - Reply to this comment
- we''''ve got trillion dollar deficits. when will Israel start giving us aid???? Posted by twoctruth
We give military aid to Israel, but put a catch on it, they must spend 75% of it back here on U.S. arms
. Actually 4 of the top 5 recipients of U.S. aid are Muslim countries that that 4 far exceeds what we give to Israel, and they don''t have to spend it back here. - Reply to this comment
- Does this mean the Israelis are paranormal?

- The West Bank Palestinians appear to remain out of the conflict. If the West Bank Palestinians are willing to accept peace with Israel, perhaps the Israelie government could pump money into the West Bank to help improve their standard of living.

- And we support these murderers with billions in tax dollars every year. - Posted by twoctruth
We give Israel $2.4 billion a year now. That is equal to what we give Jordan and Egypt combined. The aid is for military hardware and the condition is that 75% of it must be spent on U.S. military hardware. this gets the money back to the U.S. The 75% condition isn''''t on the Jordanian or Egyptian aid.
