Comments on: U.N. Council Passes Cease-Fire Resolution
Vote Is 14-0 In Security Council, With U.S. Abstaining; But Measure Is Nonbinding To Israel And Hamas
- Like the terrorist government of Israel attacking the USS Liberty ship in 1967, perhaps?
Posted by mtee12
Nonsense, a complete investigation determined it was friendly fire.
Israel admitted their mistake and took complete blame for the mistake.
There is a conspiracy cult that has grown up around it that provides hours of entertainment for their ridiculous and erroneous conclusions. - Reply to this comment

- What a world of hypocrites and bigots! Where are the protests against Hamas whose fundamentalist Islamic ideology is the sole cause and continuation of this tragedy? If Hamas was to stop firing rockets into Israel innocent Palestinians, women and children would not be dying. Now Hezbollah has started to fire rockets from Lebanon. Is Israel going to be blamed for this also if they defend themselves? The media is completely complicit in this distortion.

- Here''''s something to ponder. How is it that NO presidential candidate can even imagine winning without pledging their indefatigable support of Israel? What country are the Zionists (and the rest of us, for that matter) voting for? Unless you pledge support for our ally, Israel, you''''ll never make it out of the starting blocks. Yes, they mouth support for the rest of our allies but it''''s not near as explicit or proportionate as in the case of Israel.

Because Israel is as close as a 51st state as you''ll get. - Reply to this comment
- 4 terrorists hide behind a woman nursing her baby while shooting down Israeli soldiers reluctant to shoot back for ear of hitting her.

- How about Israel lose $10 million in military aid for every civilian killed in Gaza? I''''ll bet the IDF would suddenly become much more accurate with their fire.

this shouldn''t go only one way. what about every civilian killed by the bombs fired by the hizbalah all those years?
should Israel take it with no reaction? What other option does Israel have to protect its citizens. - Reply to this comment
- What does the resolution mean and what will it do?
Will the UN send troops the watch the borders between Isreal and those that would attack them?
Will Arab troops guard both borders then allow the attacks to continue?
A better question is, "Will the Israeli army kill UN personel bringing in relief to Palestinians as they did today?"

It can happen, the fog of war has before and will in the future enable friendly fire tragedies. - Reply to this comment

- Palestinian terrorist, proud of using and being human shields.
Since the prohibition by the Israeli Supreme court against using human shields it seems the only belligerent around that has an approved policy of using human shields is the Palestinian government.
Here is a member of the Palestinian government proudly bragging about their human shields and love for death.

- Only a delusional maggot like yourself would laugh and chuckle at the bombing and land grabbing done by the terrorist government of Israel.

I did not see any war crimes. I saw the results of a sovereign nation engaged in reasonable efforts to stop thousands of terror rockets that are meant to do the same thing to Israel as the silly video you claim is war crimes.

- The problem is the terrorist, land grabbing government of Israel.

The problem is a choice to engage in terrorism by terrorists..
Terrorist apologists, like you, provide hours of comedic philosophy in support of demented vicious criminals.
Thanks for the laughs and chuckles. - Reply to this comment

I do not know what school of thought you acquire your vile and venomous racist ideas? However, the stench of your comments is strong and disturbing.
It seems to me that dan_8951 has a mind made by the venomous AM radio. In Rwanda hateful propaganda resulted into the massacre of hundred of thousands of Tutsi''s in 1994. Are US AM radio talk shows benign? Think again? - Reply to this comment
- "The vote was 14-0, with the United States abstaining."
AND AGAIN -- Hamas and the terrorists are going to view this as us siding with Israel over them -- AGAIN, which will make us susceptible to terrorism -- AGAIN.

If you want to cave into blackmail so be it.
Apparently the Senate doesn''t agree with you. Not surprising as the USA is not real big on kissing blackmailers feet. - Reply to this comment
- "Every year the United Nation''''s General Assembly votes in a resolution entitled, "Peaceful Settlement of the Palestine Question," and every year the vote is the same. It''''s the whole world on one side; Israel, the United States, and some South Sea atolls, and Australia on the other side. The vote this past year was 164 to 7.... We have all 22 members of the Arab League favoring the two state settlement on the June 1967 border. We have the Palestinian Authority favoring that two state settlement on the June 1967 border. We now have Hamas favoring that two state settlement on the June 1967 border. The one and only obstacle is Israel, backed by the United States. That''''s the problem."
--Norman Finkelstein, interviewed by Amy Goodman for the television program, Democracy Now, 8 January 2009

Finkelstein is obviously anti-Israeli to create an ignorant essay like that.
The problem is the terrorists, not Israel.
Israel could give up everything except for a parking space and "THE OCCUPATION" would still be claimed and the terrorism continue.
Finklestein obviously is of the Pollyanna school of idealistic but myopic foreign relations theorists. - Reply to this comment
- The arrogant nations of USA, UK, and France are not saddened by what is happening to Gaza and the families of Gaza and the children of Gaza. There is real fear of escalation; especially fear of any involvement by THE LIONS OF HEZBOLLAH north of the border with occupied Palestine. Additionally, there is a tense anticipation of massive millionic angry demonstrations in the cities of Egypt Friday afternoon.
The Zionists are losers by default. You can not seize people''s land and possessions and displace them from their homes; then label them terrorists, and follow them to their refugee camps and murder them and consider yourself a winner. The real loser in this confrontation is the Camp Davidian regime of Hosni Mubarak. The Saudi Monarchy and the Egyptian ruling elite have bet twice and lost; in 2006 they bet on total obliteration of Hezbollah and lost and this time they have bet on total annihilation of Hamas, its followers, and its supporters. FRIDAY: there will two millionic demonstrations; one in support of the Palestinians in Gaza in Damascus, Syria and one show of anger against the regime of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt.
