Lets test your hypothesis. All the Palestinians need to do is to stop sending suicide bombers and missiles into Israel and to declare peace. Other Middle East countries have peace and trade treaties with Israel and exist peacefully with Israel. In fact, many Israelies travel and vacation in some of these countries.

But the fact is that the only group that we know of, FOR SURE, with a chronic policy of hiding behind Human Shields, are the Israelis themselves- proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, before their own Supreme Court.

Hamas is finally getting its just reward. There must be NO CEASEFIRE until the evil Hamas leaders who started this awful war are all dead and buried. Israel may just as well finish Hamas off once and for all regardless of the casualties. It will save more lives in the long run if Hamas is annihilated and a just peace restored. The only way to deal with Hamas terrorists who fire rockets into Israeli civilian targets is with tanks, artillery, and infantry with full air support. I deeply despise Hamas for breaking this truce and using Palestinian civilians for human shields. Hamas fighters are cowards afraid to fight like men. If we applied your logic to Germany and Japan, we would not gone to war. We defeated them, forced them to adopt new governments and to live peacefully. There is no reason to believe that the same couldn''''t be done with the Palestinians. How naive you are. Germany was literally destroyed, and still the country would not give up. Dresden had been firebombed and the German military was colder and meaner than ever. Interestingly enough, the allies didn''t do one damm thing to stop the transports that were taking millions of Jews to their deaths.

Japan was similar. Except for the two atomic bombs, they didn''t care how much carnage they suffered. They were willing to committ suicide to kill others.

Finally, yes, after the war was won in Germany, the US had to implement a thing called de-nazification. The process was designed to reprogram thinking.

But let''s look at what happened immediately after. No peace was long lasting. Most of Europe got an iron curtain draw around it. The Soviets made sure they got their nuclear weapons and pointed them right at the US. China did the same thing. The US ended up fighting wars in Korea and Vietnam, and the atomic bomb didn''t do one damm thing to produce a lasting peace.
