- The ball is in the court of the Arab League to have the principle and the courage to condemn both sides.
The U.S. & U.K. are seeking an end to the violence while the Arab bloc is more concerned with condmening Israel while ignoring the ceasefire violations of Hamas which led to this current situation.
The Arab League must choose between standing up for principle and their own credibility or being intimidated by their own radical elements.
For the sake of the Palestinian people I pray that they do the right thing.

Well the Arab League really dropped the ball yesterday!
As a result of their meeting they basically put the entire blame for the situation in Gaza square in the lap of Hamas ans Fatah for not speaking with one voice. They called on Mahmood Abbas and Hamas to come together and push forward with peace negotiations. They also suggested that Abbas request help from the UN if necessary.
The entire Arab League basically wiped their hands of the situation.

1. Its always MORE one persons fault than others. But in this case, its pretty hard to find anything criminal. It may seem immoral to you, but thats not crime. I, for one, find it immoral to slander anyone.
2. I am sorry you feel wiretaps have so seriously hampered your lifestyle. But they werent illegal, again congress was complicite. The courts can decide if they are unconstitutional. As for me, the ability to prevent terror attacks on our soil is worth a little compromise.
3. Since you dont know where to start, you might begin by not implying some portion of our country (redneck?) is somehow not worthy of having opinions or political influence. But since your attack seems to be intended to diminish the importance of my opinion I will set the record straight. I live in a northern state, have a masters degree from Columbia U (one of the most liberal of the Ivy League), and couldnt be farther from a "redneck" personality.

I just hope he lives up to one of his campaign promises. And looks at cutting foreign aid, I hope he starts by cutting the 3 billion a year we give to israel. That 3 billion would be better spent here in the U.S., might be a good start paying for national health care, that the israeli''''s enjoy.

To start with--- he never voiced a position of cutting any foreign aid to Israel. In fact he specifically said the the US will continue to support Israel militarily. He committed to continue to allow for the sales of military hardware consistent with the rules and agreements of NATO.
Furthermore--- the US provides $3billion/yr. in aid to Israel. Virtually all of the $3biilion is returned to the US economy through purchases, primarily from McDonnellDouglas and LockheedMartin. Money directly back into the pockets of American Taxpayers.
