If you had been paying attention jim I''ve brought up the Crusades more than once now, and also pointed out the fact that the Crusades, along with the Inquisitions, were instigated by the Roman Catholics, not Biblical Christianity. - Reply to this comment
- The bible is simply a book written by men. Do you understand that?

Divine Words written down on scrolls by hand chosen prophets of God. Yes, I understand that.
How the Bible proves that it''s GOD''s WORD is through prophecy. No other text in the history of time can claim 100% accuracy of prophecy like the Bible can.
The Bible is also more proven through archaeological discovery than any other text in the history of time.
These are facts jim. Facts that back up the Truth of the Scriptures.
The Bible was not written as a "religious" text. It was written to show mankind the Truth about their Creator and how we can have a personal relationship with Him. - Reply to this comment
- Again, Islamic jihad has been slaughtering Jews and Christians for 1,400 years straight now dating all the way back to your self-proclaimed "prophet", Muhammed, including the butchering of one million Armenian Christians by Turkish Muslims in the early 20th century, all because the Christians wouldn''''t follow Muhammed, but chose Christ instead.

- It was Pope Urban ll who began the Crusades; he was the head of your so-called Christianity. Just another blood-thirsty pig like the rest of those religious freaks.

Pope = Roman Catholicism, not Christianity, genius.

This type of stuff still happens in Muslim countries nowadays.
The USA is predominantly Christian, and we aren''t murdering Muslims over here. THey are free to live here and worship allah or whomever they please.

- If you''''re a scientist jim than surely you are bright enough to read the Gospels and see what true Christianity is instead of basing it off of the actions of men who distorted God''''s Word.
Use that brain God gave you, would ya?

- The point is that christianity has a bloody history. And you denied that.

No, you brought up the Old Testament. The wars of the Ancient Israelites. You were also going to bring up the Crusades and Inquisitions I presume, which were headed by the Roman Catholic Church, not Biblical Christianity.

Christianity as depicted in the Old Testament is brutal, bloody, and disgusting. I have read it. - Reply to this comment
- People have been killing each other over religion for thousands of years. So what is new?

Your problem is you cannot distinguish the difference between "religion" and Truth.
Religion has been a problem throughout history. That''s why God gave us the 1st commandment. Man has since broken it, due to sin, corruption, and rebellion, and this is where these "religions" have come from. - Reply to this comment

- That''''s just what you "think" troutfisher (how''''s Oregon by the way jim?) because you don''''t believe in God''''s Word.
There can only be one Truth. You just don''''t want to find Him.
John 14:6 may help you a little.

No, just the facts.

- Re: "And if there''s a ground invasion, he promised worse: "If you enter Gaza, the children will collect your flesh and the remains of your tanks which will be spread out through the streets."
That seems pretty reasonable, considering the scale and scope of the Israeli onslaught here. The Israelis have killed so many of their children and loved ones. The Palestinians have a clear right to defend themselves.
I think that even the Israelis know better than to try a ground invasion though, after the humiliating defeat handed to them in Lebanon, in 2006. - Reply to this comment
- Jihad = 1,400 years of slaughter by Muslims, including a million Armanean Christians who were butchered by Turkish Muslims at the beginning of the 20th century.

In other words, supernatural questions will never have definitive answers. Although true believers of all faiths seem to think so.

- Of course I''''ve read the Old Testament, AND the New Testament.
There is history in the Old Testament, of wars, and violence , you are correct, just as there is modern history of wars that the USA has won.
Wars have always existed. Violence has always existed.
Because of man''''s fall from God and because of sin.
That''''s why.

Wrong again, I KNOW that GOD has all the answers, and His Word is the Truth.
There''s no "thinking" that He has all the answers, there is knowing, and this means freedom from religion, and freedom from doubts.
Again, it is you who are deeply convicted inside. That''s why you''re trying to place your burden of doubts on me. - Reply to this comment

- But since you have freely admitted that you don''''t have all the answers, and that''''s what you want to go with as your final answer before you die, then that''''s your choice.
Your definition of humility is very shallow.

- It must be nice to be able to kill women and children from gunships at 25,000 feet (don%u2019t even have to look em in the eye) using cutting-edge weaponry provided by the US - while the Palestinians fight back with home-made bombs and missiles - sort of like David and Goliath. I know who I%u2019m rooting for, especially since the land in dispute is historically Palestinian land.
