What if just all US soldiers deserted? Where would you be then?

We''d be saving hundreds of billions of dollars each year on an illegal war for oil.

Every U.S. politician, major and minor, swears an oath of office to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution.

So, how is it possible that some of the laws they pass are declared unconstitutional?

Over 50 percent of marriages wind up in divorce... so about half Americans in this country break their Oaths! So let off this kid.. If he doesn''t want to serve anymore... that is his business! Not Yours!

An oath is a promise. Anyone who runs away from a promise knows no honor and disgraces the Uniform, the Service, the Country and themselves.

*** Jorge Bush and Amnesty Mccain knows No Honor! Just because someone doesn''t want to serve in an unjust war.. does not make them any less honorable... what does that former soldier care if he disgraces the uniform???? That doesn''t mean he shouldn''t be allowed to leave the army if he wants... I bet Germany will grant him Asylum based on wether or not he is of Germany ancestory.... Who cares about honor these days when Jorge bush was the most corrupted leader EVER! He took more kickbacks from Oil executives and walmart executives......

*** Jorge Bush Promised to take care of the border problem! Jorge bush is the one that is the disgrace! How many days did Bush serve in Vietnam??? NONE... oh yeah... his dad got him out of it... If Bush couldn''t serve our country as a soldier... why is he allowed to command it??? Kerry should have been elected 4 years ago... and then recently Kerry would have just won reelection..... Stupid racists wouldn''t vote for Kerry 4 years ago.. so now you all must deal with having the first black president! I for one am thrilled to see some color in the white house..... and i''m a white guy!

When lies are uncovered, and the truth is revealed, there is no end to the resulting chaos. This fellow, right or wrong, is expressing what many in the military have been afraid to say outright. Funny how you don''t feel that the one who told the big lie in the first place doesn''t also bring disgrace to his country.

A CBS report a last month showed the Attorney General "fainting" after being heckled by a Wash. State Supreme Court judge by which he was called a "tyrant."

The Attorney General was hospitalized. Conscience, perhaps seeping up through the wooden floors?

During WWII, Nazi Germany was built on an attack of the Nazi Socialist Headquarters and blamed it on Jewish Communists. They started a World War on false pretenses and blamed the Jews.

At present, Germany has called the Iraqi war illegal and their military has not been able to find enough soldiers to venture into Iraq due to the historical mistakes made during the first half of the 20th century.

The Germans will not fight in Iraq due to conscience.

This "deserter" "traitor" that you call is a real American who can decipher between "foreign and domestic enemies."

As for the cry for after 9-11, Bush Jr. had an approval rating of %80 to go attack Bin Laden and the world rallied in our defense.

Charles Manson would have the same approval ratings if he said "We''re going to kill Bin Laden."

"Every member of the military swears an oath of service. "I (name) do solemnly swear to defend the constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic, and to obey the orders of the PRESIDENT of the United States and all officers appointed over me..." It is not only an honor to serve ones country but a privilege, regardless if the president is Clinton, Bush or Obama. A service member does not make policy... he defends it because it''''''''s his duty. If you don''''''''t get it, you never will.

*** Why should he have to honor his oath? He shouldn''''t have to... duty in this country is not forced... it is volunteer! If you chose to one day not to obey your oath.. that is your personal choice! If the guy doesn''''t want to serve in our military anymore... that is his decision! It would have been nice if Jorge W. Bush served the common American''''s interest... rather than only serving the interest of Oil companies, Walmart Executives... and illegal immigrants!... stupid amnesty supporting bush!"

*** So what if someone takes and oath! The president took an oath also! When the president only supports the very wealthiest of americans... Soldiers are then REMOVED from their oath to serve a dishonest president! Good luck and best wishes to the former soldier that cares more about morality and fair judgement rather than just backing the oil companies like Mr. Bush!

to republic 76,If you want to get down to taking oaths, You need to charge congress with treason also, if i remember right they took the oath too, what congress has done and is doing is nothing more than treason any way you slice it or dice it.They are nothing more than white collar , suit and tie terrorists working hard at breaking this country and destroying the middle class.

A man of conscience. This is not a "fun" or easy decision for a man to make. Clearly he has a mind, and moral fiber greater than most mortals.

This guy is brilliant. I wish I had had the idea when I was in. I might be a healthy, wealthy German with good healthcare and a decent government that doesn''t torture
or murder a million Iraqi people for their oil. Instead I''m a disabled veteran who cannot trust the VA not to kill me with bad treatment by often really crappy doctors who work for the VA only after having their licenses to practice medicine revoked and after being unable to find a state that will reinstate them. (I know one who overdosed and died while in Flight surgeon training not long after spending more than a year inpatient on a psych ward doped and strapped to a chair much of the time) Good luck dude!
