I voted for McCain but I think Obama is right on this one. Looking from outside the box we have 2 choices with Iran. The first is to continue as we are and getting nowhere while they build their nuclear weapon which is inevitable. Second choice is to start a non threatening dialogue and accept the fact that they will eventually have a nuke. We need to convince them to join the other nations that have nukes with the acknowledgement that if any country launches a nuke at any other country they will be annihalated. That is a given but lets see it in writing.

While Carter was President, Iran held Americans hostage. As soon as President Reagan became president, the Iranians released the hostages, in part, to embarass President Carter. Are these people who can really be trusted? Obama will find out one way or another.

I have found that the word "respect" is often used as a euphemism for fear.
If you happen to be using the word in it''s authentic meaning, then you get the respect that you show others. And no more. And I don''t find much respect out there for some basic American principles of freedom. Expecially among the deeply religious.
I have also found that that "belief" is nothing more than a manifestation of the ignorant''s inability to accomodate a mystery.

This was a fine human being that had absolutely no business being President of the USA. He was clueless bout the causes of Middle Eastern turmoil. (He isn''t the only one either) American business set this whole scenario up by trying to manipulate dirt-poor, highly-religious peoples in thee area to try and control the Oil, We set a "Friend?" in power and his greed and fear collapsed the infrastructure of Iran and its neighbors. The rich got richer and the poor... didn''t get a thing except a boot on their necks for complaining about the inequities of the country so far as they were concerned. Enter the "Chosen ones of Allah" now the people have a ''Idee fixea'' and start becoming ''militant''. you know where this leads.... to the mess we are in now (of our own making). Lets hope that The Presideent Elect has studied events the way I have and does something about it

What would it take for the American people to revert back to these behaviors? How bad would unemployment have to become before we start attacking groups of people and blaming them for our problems. The Tutsis and Hutus of Rwanda lived together for years before genocide broke out killing hundreds of thousands of people in Rwanda. Look at the Congo. We would like to believe that such behavior could not happen in America. But what if things got bad enough. What then?

Why don''t you read the Bible, Quran, Talmud and Torah, then do a comparison and see which people were "God'' chosen and find out ''why'' some appeared to be God neglected and tell us which religion should be ''honored'' and why!!!!!
