I wonder, has there been any reports of suicides due to Mr. Obama''s victory?

I just read Neo269, and found his posting to be pretty articulate; and perhaps right. I''m a dreamer, and still will hold out hope Obama is the right person at the right time, but Neo269 made me pause a bit. Peace out.

This morning began the way all my mornings have been for several years...I make as many bag lunches as my budget will allow and take them to some veterans who have been forgotten by their country...they exist in cardboard hovels under a bridge to nowhere. All these brave men now live without arms or legs and without HOPE...but not this morning. I arrived and found them in a line waiting for my arrival..to a man they had done their best to clean up and greet me in a military line, most had re pinned their tarnished medals to their shabby garments...it was amazing. I have been crying all day...that this man we know as our new President had rekindled their hopes..that this was a new beginning. HOPE and a reawakened love for the country that had forgotten them so cruely...God bless America!

Anyone else notice that it is always the bush lovers that make the most hateful comments? Thank God those pigs are outta there!

Amen to that.

Let''s hope the moron-in-chief doesn''t get up to too much mischief before he gets removed from the White House.

YOU are the ones that have betrayed America with this Trojan Horse imposter, Obama.

So, you''re not a patriot and you don''t believe in democracy? The American people have spoken. It''s unpatriotic and un-American to denounce your own president, particularly when he hasn''t even taken office yet.

Get over it already! I cannot imagine how upset you are going to be when Obama shows us what a real world leader is and shows the world how incompetent the Bush administration really was!

Religion is not our enemy... people who distort the religion to brainwash desperate followers and inflict harm on people are the problem.

Obama''s religion is irrelevant. He is an intelligent, thoughtful leader who will be sure to surround himself with a diverse, credible group of advisors. We should embrace that, finally the people leading this nation will actually relate to the people living in this nation.

It is important to have international support because whether we like it or not, we all share this planet and it has the power to provide us with an abundance of resources or to inflict massive disaster and famine upon us at any given moment.

We are all human, living creatures, why are we so determined to shun one another??

I know I''m way too idealistic for some people, but really, can''t people just have faith in Obama? If McCain had won I would have faith in him as well... I would not flood comment boxes with so much anger.

He should place his right hand on a copy of the U. S. Constitution and swear in on that.

Aas I mentioned I voted for McCain; I''m really not bitter. Obama is certainly articulate, think things through, and he is an opportunist. All those attributes will help him survive in todays world. Can we all agree Hugo Chavez is somewhat bellicose, and a bully of sorts, and Castro & his Brother are dictators, and have held down the Cuban populace, my god they put HIV patients in a compound, and scores of Cubans flee to America, can we agree Russia really wants some tension with the West to rally their people. N. Korea you get arrested for using a cell phone. In China if you get the death sentence its carried out immediately, no appeals. In parts of India you get stoned to death for loving the wrong person, and in parts of the middle east women are not allowed to drive, have to completely cover up, and children read only the Coran. So lighten up on America, let''s give Obama our support. If things get too socialistic perhaps the pendulum will move in the other direction. God Bless America & those who support us...Peace out.

It is hilarious reading the things these sad loser Repubs are saying. They actually want America to fail on her new path. They are not patriotic at all. Why dont you move to Canada or something if you don''t like it here? Go on......

I don''t know the gentleman so I don''t know.

I do know, however, a few drinks can bring out the "Superman" in some people.

Maybe now we will start taking care of ourselves and let the rest of the world take care of itself,...........or, since China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are the new and up coming powers, they can start taking care of things.
