Promethius41: You''re analogy would mean more if the Russians had said to America that if you keep harboring these terrorists we''ll attack you in Alaska. If we didn''t stop supporting them, then I guess we would and should be open for attack.

Al Qada Syria trafficks narcotics for Osama Bin Laden. They literally fill the streets of Damascus with methamphetamine, tar heroin, PCP, LSD, and powerful forms of hashish. The Organization perpetrates forcible sexual rape of women and children. They have become wealthy dealing drugs to Junkies. The money is transferred to Bin Laden over the Internet. Syria should not tolerate illicit smut, alcoholism, and public indency.

"Syria Raid Kills Al Qaeda In Iraq Leader"

How many times have we heard this same story?

Is calling somebody an "Al Qaeda leader" similar to calling the cleaning lady a "sanitary engineer"?

We do not have the military and/or CIA intelligence available to us to know whether this was a leader or not. In any event, this is one less person to fight for Al Qaeda. We know these fighters live and hide among the civilian populations. Apparently they do not wear military uniforms to identify them. If there is any doubt, my trust goes to our military and not the Syrian government or the locals who may be involved with the Al Qaeda fighters.

Another Al Qaida leader just comes along, but is he as committed to the cause? Is he as suicidal? Is he just as intelligent? Does he have the same military mind? Is he as charismatic? Usually no.

You kill one al Qaida leader and another one comes along. Don''t get me wrong, stopping insurgents from resupplying themselves with personnel and weapons is a good thing.
