The McCain campaign responds angrily to Hurricane Ike:

"Clearly the presence of this hurricane is a personal attack on Governor Palin. The phrase "maximum sustained wind" is obviously a sexist comment to smear Sarah Palin as a blow hard; Obama should apologize for his close ties to big weather lobbyists who created the hurricane."

And shortly a chorus of "We must drill in ANWR to avoid having all of our eggs in one basket!" will start.

Completely ignoring both the tiny amount of our daily requirements ANWR will yield and the possibility that further increases in global warming may lead to interesting weather phenomena everywhere...
