Barack Obama said the US troop surge in Iraq had succeeded beyond anybody''s "wildest dreams" prompting Republicans to say he showed poor judgment by at first opposing the operation.

The Democratic White House nominee argued however that there still had not been sufficient political reconciliation in the US-occupied country, in the latest tussle over the war ahead of the November 4 election.

Obama''s Republican opponent John McCain has repeatedly hammered Obama for his initial opposition to the troop surge, of which he was an early and outspoken proponent.

"I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated," Obama said in an interview on Fox News show "The O''Reilly Factor."

"I''ve already said it''s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams."

I don''t get it. What are you really trying to say? Could you make it clearer for those of us having a problem with the syllogism you''re using?

The reason the US wants to stay in Iraq is they don''t want the Russians signing contracts for Iraqi oil.

Before the Iraq invasion & occupation Russia was one of Iraqs largest oil customers. Russia is the second largest supplier of Oil on the planet. They are the Saudis competition.

The Saudis and BIG OIL used Bush to get rid of Saddam because he was undercutting their oil sales and profits by selling cheap to Russia. This caused a depression of oil market prices which hit historic lows prior to the Iraq invasion.

YOU''RE KIDDING.!!

Georgia''s withdrawal of 2,000 troops out of
150,000 american troops, the remaining
Coalition Of The Willings'' 10 to 20,000 troops,
the possible 80,000 criminal "contractors"
and the 100,000 Sunni "awakining" traitors has
the impact of throwing into REVERSE a
months''-long-planned troop withdrawal.!!??

Would somebody tell george that he''s in
his seventh year of Commander-in-Chiefing
this thing.?

Seeing here that Bush just said "We''re
not winning and we''re not losing the war."

I believe that.!!

Armies dont win OR lose
something that doesn''t exist.!!

Iraq isn''t a war,,,,it''s an occupation.

Armies TIE an occupation till they lose it.

But please, George, continue,,,
any other announcements you think
we should hear.?

TOM BROKAW: But the fact is, governor, that you have had eight years of a bush administration and a lot of Republicans in Congress for the last eight years, so why wouldn''t the american people say, look they had their shot we''re going to change?

TOM RIDGE: Because John Bush - because John McCain is very much his own man...

Hear that? John BUSH. Bet all you people calling him "John McSame" feel pretty stupid now! FOUR MORE YEARS!

I like how this story is written, everyone is advising Bush, he''s considering what everyone else is deciding needs to be done, etcetera. In other words, Bush has never made a decision related to this war in over six years!

I can hardly wait to hear him talk about the Iraq war after he leaves office! I can hear it now---Colin Powell talked me into going to war in Iraq, I didn''t really want to do it, but HIS argument was SO convincing! And RUMMY was sure HE had everything figured out over at Defense! And well---I trusted Paul to do the right thing when HE went to Iraq---and well, THEY just all sort of let me down!

Yeah, that''s just about what we can expect! NO WHERE will he every publicly say he made any decisive decision about the war! THAT''S WHAT KIND OF GUY, HE REALLY IS! AND, THAT''S WHAT KIND OF PARTY, THE GOP IS!

Actually, she not under investigation by the Feds, but rather, the State Legislature of Alaska.

Army officials said Thursday that soldier suicides this year could surpass the record rate of last year, urging military leaders at all levels to redouble prevention efforts for a force strained by two wars.

Translation:

Lose Bush and DON''T replace him with McCain as that fool will have us fighting in Iran as well before it''s all over...

McCain will say "I will cut your taxes to the bare bone" and win the election regardless of our foreign catastrophies. U.S. Military Industry will be very happy.

Americans are simply worst than Idiots.

Who is surprised about a delay? McCain wants the delay to be 100 years.

USSR quit Afghanistan after 13 years of attempting everything under the Sun. Please be patience, Americans got 6 more years before repeating history.

The Afgans love their country to the end.

On several occaisions , Mullen has said,"In
Afghanistan we do what we can, in Iraq we
do what must."

Hark? In this festering hole of lies and death
an unforgetable literary work??

Of COURSE "Mullen on several occaisions has
SAID it", probably took him a month to come
up with it.,,,wants somone to see it,,,
maybe a job after discharge,,,,
coining topic banners on a web site.

Into the hundred-line piece and couldn''t
even complete the first sentence as the whole
truth;,,,,,,,

The half truth:,,,

"President Bush''s top defense advisers
have recommended he maintain 15 combat
brigades in Iraq till the end of the year,,"

The whole truth:

"After President Bush instructed them to
recommend he maintain 15 combat brigades
in Iraq till the end of the year President
Bush''s top defense advisers have recommended
he maintain 15 combat brigades in Iraq till
the end of the year.

Bush lies like others breath in and out,,,
doesn''t have to concentrate on it ,,,
happens natural.

If the "surge" works any better we''ll be
sending 10,000 more troops to Iraq
instead of withdrawing 10,000.
