anyone want to bet that russian troops start attracting IED''''S before long?

Nope we put up with IED''s they even sniff one the whole country would turn into dust while bush is enjoying his last days at the ranch. Do you really think Russia would have a problem putting 20,000 tanks into that sand bag

This is no time for a war, Bush is on vacation. But, he and his buddies sure do like to make the price of oil go up. The republican slogan, "money money money"!

Operation Brimstone

The exercise serves to certify that the Roosevelt strike group and the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group are ready for deployment to trouble spots around the globe.

But it also includes French Rafale fighter aircraft, the Brazilian navy frigate Greenhalgh and submarines from France and Italy.

The exercise has marked a couple of firsts: The French fighters were integrated into the flight operations of the Roosevelt, with French and U.S. personnel working side-by-side on the deck of the Roosevelt. The participation of Brazil is also historic

A training exercise off the coast of VA will snap off Iran like a switch?

And how many days does it take to move a strike group?
How many nuke tipped cruise missiles does it take to finish the job. Those subs out there and not theit for a vacation

A training exercise off the coast of VA will snap off Iran like a switch?

You MUST be loaded:

THE USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT - The Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group stands at the center of a massive training exercise that is taking place off the coast of Virginia and other states %u2014 dubbed "Operation Brimstone."

In Portuguese, the phrase is almost the same: "Operacao Brimstone."

The similarity seems fitting.

The Joint Task Force Exercise that began July 21 and continued over the weekend aims to test how well different countries speak the same combat language amid the controlled fury of a carrier flight deck and simulated missions.

Blah Blah Blah Blah, this is all about oil/energy. Look at the price of oil today. The russians want to control their supplies and there is nothing more to it.

This is a REPOST - this is the full history of the South Ossetian and Georgian conflict. It''s VERY VERY detailed and explains EXACTLY what is going on now. UNBIASED.

Found some very interesting info... go to this link..

/groups/public/documents/UNTC/UNPAN01922
4.pdf

Very clearly, it says this...

"President Saakashvili has made restoration of Georgia''''s
territorial integrity his top priority. Following his highly
symbolic inauguration oath at the grave of David IV77
in January 2004, he stated, "Georgia''''s territorial
integrity is the goal of my life". He promised that
South Ossetia and Abkhazia would be restored to
Georgia before the presidential elections scheduled
for 2009."

uh... HELLOOOOOOO.. Saakashvili has been planning this for a WHILE!! Shame shame shame on GEORGIA.

ANSWER MY QUESTIONS POSTED MULTIPLE TIMES!!

Where is the PROOF that Russia attacked Georgia''''s telecommunications weeks before the conflit

Posted by canyoutellme at 02:02 PM : Aug 21, 2008

Who%u2019s behind it? The infamous Russian Business Network, or literally every Russian supporting Russia%u2019s actions? How coordinated and planned is the cyber attack? And do we actually have a relatively decent example of cyber warfare combining PSYOPs (psychological operations) and self-mobilization of the local Internet users by spreading %u201CFor our motherland, brothers!%u201D or %u201CYour country is calling you!%u201D hacktivist messages across web forums. Let%u2019s find out, in-depth.

The attacks originally starting to take place several weeks before the actual %u201Cintervention%u201D with Georgia President%u2019s web site coming under DDoS attack from Russian hackers in July, followed by active discussions across the Russian web on whether or not DDoS attacks and web site defacements should in fact be taking place, which would inevitably come as a handy tool to be used against Russian from Western or Pro-Western journalists. The peak of DDoS attack and the actual defacements started taking place as of Friday

Americans need to know the truth: why did the Georgian Pres decide now to attack the disputed territories and incur the wrath of Russia - was it timed to help his friend McCain or McCain''s aide/Georgian lobbyist? Did Bush prod him to do it now to help McCain? The Georgian Pres has alluded to assurances he got that the US would support and protect Georgia - who made the assurances, when, and what promises were made? Was the Georgian pres duped into helping in a US election? We need a full investigation into what brought the attacks on given the timing and the relationships with the McCain campaign.
