We like the fact that they are moving toward the adoption of western institutions and democracy, but we also warn the president of Georgia that he was playing with fire wrt Ossentia and Abkhazia. As I understand it, at no time did we commit to defend Georgia. We have committed to defend Poland. Georgia should have waited until they joined NATO.
