Look nobody wants to see the elephants dance. We have managed to not resort to WMD for 70 plus years, hopefully we can restrain ourselves well into the future.

They got their proxy Ossentian militia to provoke the Georgians, claimed genocide when they retaliated, then immediately invaded. Putin was KGB before the fall of the USSR is KGB today, and will always be KGB no matter what they call the organization today.

To bad the Georgians didn''''t have a few Arbrams tanks and few thousand shoulder fired Javelin anti tank missles. This is what happens to a t-72 tank when it confronts a Javelin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZAnYYj9o

You sound like a Neocon! For some reason I just don''t think "Wishing" is going to help here. It would appear that Bush and the Republican''s have been called out! It also appears that they are nothing but a bunch of wind bags who have nothing to back it up. Sieg Heil McSlime

Right, of course they are going to pull back :-(). Just like they have been doing. First Gori and Pori then Tblisi and then Batumi and Rustavi. Sure they will pull back forward on Monday.

I don''t think the USA is a ally of Georgia. We like the fact that they are moving toward the adoption of western institutions and democracy, but we also warn the president of Georgia that he was playing with fire wrt Ossentia and Abkhazia. As I understand it, at no time did we commit to defend Georgia. We have committed to defend Poland. Georgia should have waited until they joined NATO.

Takes time to loot a country of 5 million people. This is no different then a thief entering your house and stealing everything of value and then trashing anything they can''t carry away. Russia was a thug country before the demise of the USSR it was a thug country after the demise and it remains a thug country. No country has a 1,000 tank on the border with another country unless the plan to invade. Clearly this was their intention all along. They got their proxy Ossentian militia to provoke the Georgians, claimed genocide when they retaliated, then immediately invaded. It''s like there is an attempt to prematurely provoke Iran into a war, so that other world powers have no other choice but to react. This is also known as a "World War", fer all ya''ll who have read about this somewhere... there were like sequences and stuff. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
