But isn''''t anyone concerned that Putin is pushing this along to shame and dumb and constantly wrong administration...

The administration doesn''t need Putin''s help as far as shaming and dumbing. However, you play the cards you''re dealt. The administration should do it''s best to act responsibly in this situation. I don''t have any reason to believe this will escalate but right now, Russia has the upper hand. They''ll try to bleed as many concessions as possible from the west and we''ll fight them every inch of the way. In the end, they''ll get what they want...for now.

If Obama were President there would be no cease fire. There would be a new name for Georgia: Greater Ossetia. Obama, the closet Muslim, will seditiously push his Islamic agenda in any future conflicts such as we''''''''ve just experienced.

Too funny. You''re just an uneducated jackarse that has no real argument against Obama other then calling him a Muslim. Everyone sees right through that. Keep on doing it, you just look dumber and dumber and dumber.

GROW UP.

Posted by Obama8years - Do you concede that Georgia bombed innocent civillians in South Ossetia on 7th August or do you deny it happened? Maybe, just maybe, Obama was right to urge restraint on both sides, because (like most if the international media) maybe he realised that Georgia committed an act of aggression that Russia was certain to respond to.

I''d say something is screwey there. Because Georgia and South Ossetia had already agreed to meet on August 7th. And the facts just aren''t adding up as to why Georgia would have attacked!

Some foreign medias are saying that in fact Russia attacked first against the S. Ossetians that were planning to meet with Georgia. And Russia sure did close up the area fast!

True rave, But isn''t anyone concerned that Putin is pushing this along to shame and dumb and constantly wrong administration. Nothing they''ve done since 2002 has been right. Shaakaashvili is a lose cannon in the vain of bring-it-on with no guarantee that the United States will back him up.

The UN is an interest group, plain and simple, just like Cheney/Bush. The UN''s upper chamber: The Security Council, polices it just fine so you''ve nothing to fear from that organization.

Cheney/Bush used UN and it''s opposition to a predestined war in Iraq, which means that all of them vulnerable, as a tool to get foreign hating Americans to go proudly to war with tiny nation. The United Nations, in reality is only a sound chamber of bitter, weakened nations compared to the more powerful countries. But they do serve a purpose amongst themselves and allows for those 2nd & 3rd world nations to communicate.
